Well made and looks good, some new vinyl the spindle hole can be tight so this ensure it lays flat and it doesn’t alter the speed, I don’t think it makes any difference to the sound,but great quality for the price.

Good weight. Only my opinion but records being stabilised, sounded clearer. The sprit level is incorporated. Great idea. Good value too.

I understand the principle behind these devices and I’ve seen them in use before by serious audiophiles on very expensive systems.After playing vinyl records since the 70s and on decent systems since the 80s… I can honestly say that I’ve never found the need for one of these myself and having now tried one I’m still not convinced that the difference in sound quality is perceptible to my ears.This particular example looks pretty cool and stylish with the anodised metal and fluorescent insert and it keeps the disc pinned down on the platter. For some of the flimsiest types of vinyl and where the record has become warped then a stabilising weight does make sense. Oh, and speaking of weight, the one I received weighed in at 278g, which is heavier than the claimed 270g.The one I received had some tarnish marks on the anodised top part, which didn’t look very attractive and wouldn’t polish out, but this was a cosmetic issue and didn’t have a bearing on performance.The integrated spirit level allows you to quickly check that your deck is flat and I found this to be a useful feature, but I didn’t use the RPM speed check markings, so cannot comment on the effectiveness or accuracy of those.Overall, I didn’t perceive an improvement in sound quality when using this device, but that might just be my age and diminished hearing acuity.

Useful bit of kit which although I can’t say enhances sound so audibly to notice the difference, I had a new album which was slightly warped and it certainly made it run more smoothly.I use it all the time along with the acrylic turntable slip mat. If nothing else, they are aesthetically pleasing.

Very nice weight and works well. Gives a good steady weight to the vinyl. Looks as good as well but just check that it fits with the lid down! Mine rubbed the lid so just check the dimensions.

Does what it says on the box! Luckily I didn't have to adjust my turntable as it was central and stops that warped movement that you see when playing records!
