The only tinned peas worth eating
It's Ironic that the British parliament decided to destroy our tinned vegetables i.e. Beans, Peas and carrots by insisting we take the sugar and salt out of the canning process. So those little cannonball, tasteless peas that our top two producers spew out just don't taste the same. Just as well the French don't suffer such culinary restraints. These petit pois are very difficult to source, ASDA used to sell them but they don't any more. Imagine proper delicious peas with tiny delicious Chantenay carrots (about ai inch long) in a serving bowl with a bit of salt and pepper and a knob of butter. These are how peas and carrots should taste Viva la France. These are quite large cans, easily enough for two servings. Exquisite-you'll never eat a different canned pea again.......and don't forget those delicious little carrots.
