Programming to your TV.
I found the instruction to my Sony DVD player and tried them out. It worked with the remote and my old Philips TV. Regardless of everyone saying your can't program it to your TV, I was able too. Give it a try. Love the replacement Remote.

Just as good as the factory remote
Works great every time I’ve had to buy one. Which has been often since my dog can’t quit chewing them. Fortunately the price is reasonable too.

Bought to replace a missing remote for a DVD player purchased in 2015 that hadn't gotten much use. It works as well as the original. Like another reviewer said, the model must have the power to find missing remotes. Within two weeks, the missing one turned up.

Works for Sony blu-ray player but couldn't program it for non-Sony TV
I tried this remote as a replacement for my Sony RMT-VB100U when the programmable button I use to control my Vizio TV stopped responding (the original Sony remote can be programmed to work with non-Sony brand TVs for basic on/off and volume control.) This ZdalaMit remote (which looks exactly like the Sony remote except it doesn't say "SONY" on it) worked perfectly for use with the Sony blu-ray player but I could not get it to program for the TV. I suspect this functionality is not supported (although I can't 100% confirm since the ZdalaMit unit does not ship with an instruction manual). I ended up paying 3 times as much for an official Sony remote, which I was able to program for my Vizio TV (confirming the problem was with the ZdalaMit remote, not the TV). If you just need a replacement remote for your Sony blu-ray player, this is a cheap alternate that worked perfectly for that purpose, but do not expect to use the full programmable features the original Sony remote has. IF ANYONE HAS HAD SUCCESS PROGRAMMING THE TV BUTTON PLEASE COMMENT AND I WILL AMEND MY REVIEW.

After the grandkids left for the weekend, the television remote was missing. Ordered this online and it was delivered promptly.Oh and my grandson didn’t know where the original was, but promptly found it 2 weeks later. Now I have a back-up!
