Carburetor for JOHN DEERE X300 X300R X304 Series Tractor Parts kit MIA10591 with Fuel Pump

The carbera was a perfect fit after minor modification. The choke lever had a small rod sticking out from it, rather than a hole for the choke rod. Also, a small brass tube projected from the front of the carburetor, which prevented the air filter backing plate from sealing against the front of the carburetor. I cut the plastic rod off the choke lever and drilled a hole in it for the choke rod, and ground out the part of the air filter backing plate that was blocking the brass tube on the front of the carburetor. Installed and works perfectly.

Carb was perfect but wrong fuel pump for my x300

The parts were stated to fit a John Deere x300 lawn tractor. This was incorrect and only the carburetor would fit. Fuel pump was would not fit due to it being reversed as far as screw hole. Fuel filters were too small.

Works like a champ out of the box; when ordering for x300, make sure it has the correct style choke lever; not a hollow one as some of the other ones. This unit has it!
