Ulano Rubylith RU5 48" x 300" .005 RU5413NP

My partner and I are both professional artists. We are printmakers who primarily work producing screen prints. We were happy to see that rubylith was once again available for purchase. We had, about 10 years ago contacted as many places that sold old rubylith and amberlith and bought everything we could find, so it was exciting to see this listed as available. It was utterly disappointing to open this package and try to work with it. The opacity of the film was so dark I had trouble seeing my image underneath to be able to cut my films. We cut an old piece of rubylith and compared it to this new roll and they looked totally different. The other major issue I encountered was that the small details of the image that would normally stay stuck on the clear film kept falling off and peeling when they weren't supposed to. We didn't start working with the roll until after the vendor's 30 day return policy so we are stuck with a big roll of subpar material. I highly discourage buying this product.
