Q: What's the temperature range?

I have it in a small dorm-size refrigerator. The coldest setting holds it about 54* F, close to the 12.5* C rating. This is only cold enough to put a soft frost in the sketchy "freezer" section in the top. If I click it all the way on, it freezes the contents of the entire fridge. It's acceptable as a water bottle/pop cooler in my garage, but probably not the right thermostat for my application.

Q: Is this a 2 or 3 pin thermostat? The description says 2 pin but the photo shows 3 pins.

It has 3 pins. But replacing will only use 2. Check your unit first before buying.

No probably not. The temp range seems to be around -10 to +30 degrees F This is a factory replacement for Kenmore freezer. If I rememmber the third terminal is a hot lead for the light on the front panel. You require a digital control with more variability.
