Hayward SPX2607CKIT Drivetrain Upgrade - 1 HP

This was just the ticket to get my old Hayward Pump up and running. The kit was complete and easily installed plenty of videos on youtube to follow. My pump runs quieter and sucks and blows like new. Excellent kit.

I decided to bought the package because buying these parts separately would have cost even more. The parts came in time and there was no parts missing. There was unfortunately no instructions so I had to find help through videos online. I suggest looking for "How to Replace a Pool Pump Motor -The Ultimate Video Guide" on youtube. I followed the instructions carefully and the drive train was working properly and no leaks were detected. Also be aware that the package does not come with screws and if you try to order through a pool distributor then you will most likely get ripped off. The screws are simply 3/8"-16 x 7/8" and 3/8"-16 x 2"; you can buy them for $0.50-$1.00 each at a local bolt depot or buy a package at home depot. I recommend stainless steel screws for corrosion resistance or you could simple reuse the screws you have but I decided to get new ones because mine were rusty and stripped.

Pump runs like new again.

All parts fir perfectly. All seam to be working great except for the shaft seal. It failed almost immediately. I installed with adequate seal lubrication to prevent dry run before initial prime. It still allowed a small leak and loss of prime after pump stop

Fits, quality check not done well. Packaged well, and still had a crack. Location does not seem to interfere. Used higher quality seal instead of one it came with
