TASCHEN Marvel Comics Library. Avengers. Vol. 1. 1963-1965

This was meant to be a gift for my father, who is a solid avengers fan. When I ordered it I was expecting a book the size of a regular graphic novel. What I got was an extra large graphic novel, but it definitely was pretty awesome. My dad will not only love this, but he will not need his reading glasses 🤓

I bought the Spider-man edition and had to have this one. It’s just incredible! Scans of the original pages and all beautifully ASSEMBLED! Worth every penny.

A fabulous edition of the early issues of The Avengers. Each comic is reprinted with the original advertisements and letters columns in an enlarged format that truly does the artwork justice.The comics have , of course, Jack Kirby art with Don Heck taking over for the last few issues.If I had any complaint, it would be the waste (to my eyes) of twenty orange-coloured pages each with a "negative" panel from random issues. These truly serve no purpose other than as padding.Anyone reading these reviews should definitely ignore any one-star posts which complain of damage during delivery, they will be few and will have been swiftly replaced.Ignore also the complaint of a missing collectable transit box, it's here in all it's cardboard glory.Thoroughly recommended.
