Not what I expected, but no complaints
This was meant to be a gift for my father, who is a solid avengers fan. When I ordered it I was expecting a book the size of a regular graphic novel. What I got was an extra large graphic novel, but it definitely was pretty awesome. My dad will not only love this, but he will not need his reading glasses 🤓

Awesome complete reprinting of Avengers 1-20
This massive book completely reprints Avengers issues 1-20 including the original advertisements and letters pages and front and back covers. The book also provides the history of the Avengers creation and reproduces original art. This is the next best thing to having the original comics. Nicely packaged in sturdy large size illustrated box. This book represents the typical quality that Taschen provides in all of their books. High quality construction, reproduction and the highest of value in an art book.

Another tremendous Taschen/Marvel team up
This is another enormous book in Taschen's Marvel comics series. Just like The Amazing Spider-man, this book’s first 40 pages are a quick history on Avengers' creation and how the heroes came from different issues. From that point on, this book is all about the enormous reprints of the original 20 issues. 95% of this 630 page book are the comics themselves. At the end of the book there are about 12 pages of original ink artwork from those first issues. I love how Taschen printed on different paper stock to simulate comic book covers versus interior pages. The paper is thicker than normal comic book stock, but that's to prevent creasing or wear and tear. I also appreciate the commitment to recreating the reprints using the highest graded CGC issues they could access. There's added authenticity with the printing of the inside and back covers including advertising as well as the fan mail page. It feels like you got your hands on mint copies of the original books. I also like that they kept the printing imperfections from the first run, one of my favorite mistakes is from Avengers #10 where Thor has bare legs for half of the book because the colorist messed up. Newer reprints probably corrected those types of errors, but they lose the vintage quality about them. This is a limited edition first run of 5,000 copies. The cardboard box is very collectible with its beautiful black line art from issue #1 and #20. It's great for storage.

Just got book!
The book is in good shape; however, I didn't notice that it did not include a dust cover, my bad. I didn't appreciate that the book was also delivered in some flimsy plastic bag.
