各社のP-51Dを作り比べていますが作り易さ、出来上がりの素晴らしさはT社製品に劣りません。組み立て説明図も見やすいです、細部塗装はT社の説明図も参考にすれば更に分かりやすいでしょう。惜しむらくはモールドが少し強すぎる感じなのと、主翼パーツとランナーとの繋ぎ目？が荒っぽい所で切り離し後は丁寧なヤスリがけが必要な所でしょうか、材質のプラスチックも柔らかいので焦って加工すると翼端灯に影響がでます、私はやらかしました。少々価格ははりますがそれなりの出来で、H社の主翼に上反角の無いムスタング(昭和前半生まれなのでマスタングとは言いません)に比べると遥かに俊敏なスタイルが再現されていると思います。

(No paints or glue in this kit)On the whole this is a good model from Airfix. I did have some issue with flash on some of the small parts like the radio aerial which was so difficult to remove that I gave up and made a new one out of some plasticard. Also the clear parts on mine were scratched and needed polishing so Affix's QA still needs some work.The landing gear of a F51 is tricky to fit due to its angles and the fact it is relatively weak, in this scale. The rest of the model was easy to put together.If you are a beginner you may want to chose a different colour scheme as some of the transfers for the US version in this kit are thin and not the easiest to apply without damaging them. Also note that the Amazon picture is not what you get there are no sharks tooth transfers in this kit (you have to look at the two small pictures on the left of the main one to see the colour schemes.Overall I enjoyed making it and was pleased with the result I got. I fixed it to a wooden base to help support the undercarriage, it really is quite weak.

Great item

When I bought the model it came without any sort of cardboard box and just the airfix box itself. Model arrived with minimal damage on the box but just without the cardboard box. Label stuck straight onto the box.
