The clamp is built to handle heavy weights and metal body is plus, I have used bunch of plastic clamps and this is the perfect upgrade.There are 2 umbrella holes, 1 is below which will have fixed angle, and another on top right below hotshoe, that one moves with the angle and sturdy enough to hold softbox.A point to note that if you are willing to use umbrella softbox with this clamp, then keep in mind the holes are not big enough (normal umbrellas work fine), I wanted to use Godox 95cm umbrella softbox and I had to increase hole size to fit that. Though after screwing large hole it is working perfect ;)

The prime reason for buying this product is you get an octabox with a u clamp to fix a flash in. Else for all other flashbox, you need to but the clamp for holding the flash or external light. So two separate items to purchase. Whereas this is one complete set.Problem with it is, it's a 55mm diffuser so it gives more harsh light than bigger octobox. And it's more feasable in using it for portrait shots (head to chest) rather than entire body (head to body) portfolio picture.Material is good, it's just the strands to get the octabox are very tight and feels like it will break.
