Great Synth for the Price and the Sound is Spectacular.
This thing is awesome and has a lot of the features of it's bigger brother the Fantom-6/7/8 for a lot less money which is why I went this route. There is a bit of a learning curve, but lots of great resources online from Roland and others to learn this beast of a synth and all it's capabilities. Check out the Roland cloud for some extra creative inspiration as well. This thing is well worth the price.

Roland Fantom 06 is worth the money
I have only had this unit for a little over a week. But it has performed very well. This isn't my first keyboard but it is my first Roland. I am not disappointed. The online support for the Fantom is outstanding both technically and creatively. The controls are unmatched. The sound library is huge and expandable. The only thing that l have encountered that is slightly less impressive is the feel of the multi pads. They are spongey and you often think that the pad has stuck down when it hasn't. But overall I have been impressed with the Fantom 06. 9.5 out of 10

This was the synth a non-musician should NOT buy
This was an impulse buy, but it was not designed to create music. It is intended to play it. I wish I had gone for an arranger keyboard or a music workstation. This is relatively expensive and useless, having internal arpeggios or pads to help sound designers. Beware, it's for musicians only. So now I have one for sale. Does anybody want to make an offer?

Steep learning curve, but capable.
I think this does most if not all what I want it to do. All the things I thought it couldn't do, I found out how to. Before you buy learn the features, cons and limitations first because they may not even be something you need or utilize.Learning the board can be frustrating, because it's different from most other similar keyboards. First thing was how do I save, how do you get the PC to pick up audio, how do you get the PC/keyboard to pick up midi from/to a daw, import your own sounds...etc. All these are questions you'll run into. The thing is it can do all of the stuff you throw at it. You just have to get used to Roland's language. Some things you may overlook, because you don't know what it means or you watch a video and don't know what they are describing. However most videos or tutorials from the higher model fantoms can be used for the Fantom 0 range.Roland...Please include at least a USB-A to B cable. It just comes with a power adapter, manual, warranty card, Ableton live lite.

Great professional keyboard
Really great keyboard with an incredible amount of functions. Returned because it just wasn't for me, but I know many players who absolutely love these.

Very powerful! Very Light!
A scaled down version of Roland’s flagship Fantom instrument. Call the Fantom 06 this has most of the power and speed of it’s bigger version but weighs under 14lbs!!! I’m using it as my only keyboard in a Rock Cover band. Does it all and doesn’t even use the amazing on board song sequencer. Amazing modern tech pro instrument!
