Good sized, sturdy bags.
Good sized, sturdy bags. I bought these brown paper bags for the purpose of disposing of used cat litter. I have three cats. Following advice found on the catinfo dot org website, I set up four very large litter boxes (in my laundry/utility room) using the recommended good-sized sweater containers. I placed approx. 60-70 pounds of Dr. Elsey's hard clumping litter in each box, which makes the litter approximately 5-6 inches deep in each box. It needs to be deep to satisfy the cat's need to dig a little and to keep the cat urine from hitting the bottom of the box. I bought these paper bags to keep near the litter boxes and use them when I clean the boxes. I fold down the top of the bag and reopen it throughout the day each time I scoop. And if you're careful in your scooping, the remaining litter in the box stays clean and all you have to do is add more litter as needed. (I also keep Clorox wipes near the boxes to wipe the plastic when I remove used litter from next to the plastic wall of the box.) At the end of the day, I dispose of the brown paper bag filled with used cat litter into the garbage. Using the several larger litter boxes and the paper bags to dispose of the used litter has eliminated almost all of the litter box smell. Very happy with the bags and will definitely reorder when my supply starts to dwindle. :)

Good size for bread
I use these to store homemade bread. If you put homemade loaves in brown paper, then in ziploc bag, it keeps for a week or more. It stays fresh as well.

Great for compost
Our trash company does not allow us to use compostable plastic bags in our green trash so I purchased these instead. The size is perfect for my compost bin that hangs on the side of the regular trash can. Obviously they can't be used for food waste that is really wet, but they are perfect for my cooking scraps. My husband is a stickler for taking out the trash frequently so I never have to worry about rotting food breaking through the bottom of the bag. I like that the bag is tall enough so that I fold it down a few times before I throw it in the outdoor green trash can. I appreciate having my neat white bundles of compost in my green can instead of having loose rotting food rolling around in there. These bags are perfect for my needs.

ONLY IF these are the 8-lb. bags, are they awesome, but Amazon has an ellipsis and then . . .
(this is what you do after using an ellipsis, AMAZON! You finish the description once you click on the product, but YOU failed to do that, so I don't know which BagDreams lunch bags I am rating! 🙄! The other one you show says 52-lb. lunch bags with a # . . ., so I don't know what the heck those are either! 🙄🙄!!)I am rating ONLY the 8-lb lunch bags 4½ stars, but not five. That other company that imprints "Durable" on every single one of its bags I thought was the worst until I had no choice but to order the 12-lb lunch bags under the BagDreams name because the 8-lb bags were out of stock. The 12-lb bags are so thin that you can see the light shine through the paper! I can't imagine them honestly being made by the same company!I use paper lunch bags instead of plastic when I clean out my cat's litter box each day. The 8-lb BagDreams lunch bags are exactly what I thought those 300 supposedly "durable" 12-lb lunch bags wouid be, but I had to use three bags together because the bottom didn't even endure the first clump! The 8-lb BagDreams lunch bags are thick. One bag did have a breakthrough at the bottom, but that was with the box completely cleaned out. I know that's not what these are made for, so I take a second bag and cut it into thirds, and then I put one-third at the bottom of the one full-sized bag. This was perfect, as was the smaller size. You cannot imagine my disappointment when I saw that they were out of stock. I didn't want 12-lb bags again, as they can be heavy for my arthritic hands, and I just had carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel combo surgery a year ago,, too.Anyway, I never have ordered any 52-lb "lunch" bags, and who knows if that elusive # would've had a 12 after it?! Like I said, these are so thin that you can see the light shine through them. I can't even imagine it being able to hold an apple without the bottom falling out since it couldn't hold one wee clump out of the litter box. THESE "52-lb" (or #12/12# ?) BagDreams bags aren't worth any amount of money and they certainly killed trees they shouldn't have to make these worthless things! They seriously should be ashamed and apologetic for causing more carbon emissions from making these particular bags!8-lb bags, BagDreams, thick and sturdy -- 4½ stars12-lb bags (NOT 52-lb!), X001CVCXPH, Bag Dreams, A051,100 Pcs, excessively thin and far too easily destructible -- 0 starsWhat I find remarkable is that I had to look all over the bag that the 8-lb bags came in before I could finally find the name. What I first thought was the name wasn't, so I looked for one of the names an Amazon search brought up and found it in the tiniest little letters that it's no wonder I didn't stop there before to see if it had the brahd name. Now the thick 8-lb bags are out of stock, and these worthless 12-lb bags supposedly made by the same company are the worst ever. Were they a new company enticing customers with excellent products in the beginning with plans to sell only crap products later, hoping idiots wouldn't really notice or care? That's a pretty shoddy way of doing business, so I hope they'll read this review and realize that they are showing both sides of the coin with the design of these two bags, and one isn't worthy of using fresh wood to make -- namely the 12-lb!
