Relaxing and Wonderful
Now that I've slept on this pillow for a few nights, I feel that I can give an honest review about it! This pillow is magical. If you are unfamiliar with this type of pillow and/or have never experienced one before, there may be a bit of a learning curve or some discomfort at first. However, don't give up right away! I'd honestly give it your best go, at least a week, before making a definitive decision. The pillow is satisfyingly weighty. When adjusting the pillow and moving it around, it sounds a bit like a rainstick. I have a preference for flat pillows and this pillow is wonderfully flat. However, the buckwheat hulls inside can be manipulated into the shape that you prefer. For example, if you need extra neck support, you can push the hulls near the bottom of the pillow into a tube-like shape for added neck support. What I like about this buckwheat hull pillow is that once you manipulate the hulls where you want them, they tend to stay where they are. This means that you will have the desired support where you need it until you decide to manipulate its shape into something else. You don't have to worry about it becoming misshapen. Also, you can adjust the amount of buckwheat hulls inside the pillow by adding or removing hulls, therefore adjusting the firmness and flatness of the pillow. I found that the amount of hulls it came with was perfect. It really is great for your cervical spine and sleeping posture. Also, buckwheat hulls have antimicrobial properties. I highly recommend this pillow!

Good pillow. Needs an included pillowcase
Again, this is a review of the company, not the pillow itself. I love these little buckwheat hull pillows and I don't think I will ever sleep on anything else. I bought one for myself and I loved it so much that I bought another one for my partner. But the other company didn't include a pillowcase, so I bought this brand because their promotional materials definitely talk about the pillowcase. Here's the thing. These are non-standard sized pillows (14"x20") so it's not easy to find pillowcases for them just out and about. Ikea has a cheap pillowcase that fits it if you have one nearby (it's 13"x20" but it does fit. But in non-standard sizes they really need to include a pillowcase.I do like the product. It was filled more generously than the other brand, which matters because side sleepers want a higher loft than back sleepers do. So there's nothing wrong with the pillow. They just need to include a pillowcase.Edited to add: I loved this pillow so much, I went ahead and ordered another one and raised their review (I do still think it needs a pillowcase though). This pillow is much better than the other buckwheat pillow I bought. It has really high loft for side sleepers. Some other companies don’t fill their pillows all the way, which leaves you trying to “fluff” the pillow all night. Side sleepers will appreciate the high loft, and back and stomach sleepers might even want to take some hulls out, but it’s easier to take hulls out than add hulls when it’s not clear where to buy them. So selling the pillow high loft seems like it’s best for everyone. And the other thing that I think you will appreciate is the very thick cover. A buckwheat hull pillow will never be a soft cuddly pillow. But the thickness of the pillow cover does a lot to pad it just enough that it doesn’t feel brutally hard against your head. It’s a small thing, but it makes a huge difference. The other brand of pillow that I bought is pretty much just being used as a place to store extra buckwheat shells now that I’ve ordered two of this brand. It’s a really high quality pillow.

Goodbye neck pain!
I've tried at least 5 different pillows in the last year due to neck pain and this one has been the best by far! I will admit, the first night it felt a little weird and hearing the "crunchy" sound of the buckwheat was a little strange but I quickly fell asleep and it didn't bother me at all the rest of the night. I've been sleeping more soundly and haven't had the neck pain that I was having before. I do like that there's a zipper so you can add/remove as needed. I didn't remove or add any as it felt good for me. I also like that this is a natural alternative to synthetic fills and foams. I had tried a full wool pillow before this one but it just didn't have the support I needed. I should have listened to my late grandmother who used a buckwheat pillow for as long as I knew her!The only downside that I can see is that's it is heavy-- not as easily portable as other pillows. If you experience neck pain and haven't felt like other pillows support you, give this a try!

Works
Started waking up with a severe crick in the neck, so began looking for pillows. Never heard of a “ Buckwheat Pillow” before, but decided to try it. This is what I found out. In order to relieve pressure on your neck, your neck has to be aligned with your spine. Everybody is different, so the pillow has to be adjustable. You adjust the Buckwheat Pillow to the height you want by adding or subtracting the Buckwheat. Once you get the height of the pillow correct, it has to be stable and not compress. The Buckwheat does not compress, so the height remains stable. It worked for me, but you have to eliminate your conventional ideas of what a pillow is and give it a chance…Like it and would recommend.

My best friend says it keeps cool at night.
I bought this for my dad because my best friend swears by these pillows. Unfortunately, he didn't like it.
