Q: Why are the reviews from people with big dogs when this product is for small breeds?

I believe that multiple varieties of Purina Pro Plan Focus dog food line is listed under here, so the reviews are a mixed compilation of feedback for each of the different varieties. This means that even though you are interested in the small breed version, when you scroll down to read the reviews, you could also be seeing reviews for the puppy version, large breed version, etc.

Q: Why would this food be any different than ones sold in the store? I think I’m sending this back because the reviews about puppies getting sick ?!

I’ve never had an issue with my dogs getting sick from this dog food. The probiotics are good for their brain health. I find Purina Probiotics to be superior to other supermarket brands.

Q: Until how long the puppy should keep eat this?

Puppies should eat puppy food until they are a year old. If you’re not sure, check with your vet.

Q: Do you have to ween when switching from "savor" to "focus"?

Yes. You should also gradually transition your dog, when switching between dry formulas. We recommend you to introduce the new food over a period of 7 – 10 days to help avoid digestive upset. The first day we recommend mixing 10 percent of the new food with 90 percent of the current food. Each day, increase the amount of the new food while decreasing the amount of the current food.
