I am wondering how to use singing bowls? Someone has recommended them to me to help reduce stress. Do they really help?

Hi there,Thank you for your question :-) I have attached some instructions below on how to use a singing bowl :-) By focusing on the sound of the bowl you will lower your stress level, as your attention won't be on what was causing you stress. The sound is very peaceful and relaxing. Place the bowl on the cushion and hold in the palm of your hand. 2.	Hold the mallet against the side of the bowl with your other hand firmly (but remember to keep your hand and wrist relaxed too).3.	Slowly run the mallet around the edge of the bowl applying even pressure and gradually speeding up until you hear the bowl starting to sing.4.	Now try speeding up each stroke or applying more pressure to change the tone of the bowl.Tips-If the bowl starts to make a rattling sound try slowing down and applying more pressure. -Try experimenting with how you hold the mallet and the angle which you hold it against the bowl - each person will have their own way which they prefer to play their bowl.

Our machine-hand made singing bowl designs, which include the Antique Design Tibetan bowl, are made of a special Himalayan bell metal alloy, which is a combination of copper and zinc and that is ideal for handcrafting using both machines and hand processes. They are all 4" in diameter and stand a few inches tall.

On the other hand, hand hammered singing bowl design is approx. 4- 4.5 inches in diameter and is made using metal bronze, a very pure, expensive metal alloy. It is 100% hand made, a lot more difficult to do, that is why it is a bit more expensive than the machine-hand made designs.

On the other hand, our hand made, hand hammered singing bowl design is made using metal bronze, a very pure alloy containing only copper and tin, the same metals used by native Tibetans to produce their singing bowls.
