National Geographic World Satellite Wall Map (43.5 x 30.5 in) (National Geographic Reference Map) Map – January 1, 2008

This is a nice vividly colored map. I needed an inexpensive world map for my classroom to be able to make quick reference to "where things are" in relation to where we live. I also make many references to ocean currents and temperature zones. This map is useful in allowing students to visualize the concepts. I do wish it had ocean currents highlighted in a light blue over the oceans, but the temperature map makes up for that. It also labels the Mid Atlantic Ridge which is so helpful in getting students to envision this in relation to the size of the Earth. I do wish it were twice the size, but for the price, it is a great map. Note: this map was too large to fit in the laminator at our school, so be aware that you may have to hang it as is, without the laminate protection. I would recommend this map.

It comes in tube, no folding or damage to the paper.I use it for decour and info sometimes

Although cheap as sold the paper is way too thin for a map of any size,shape or form. Even a map that is available free at gas stations are more durable than this. I would have gone to my local art frame shop to add a matte backing and framing but that would have been silly, don’t get this map- save your money and opt out for a little more there are maps that are laminated, with grommet holes to make it a snap to move wherever you want to see the world and enjoy the miracle that is this beautiful planet. I will get the little more expensive map from this company just because I need to see what a few more bucks will buy. 🙀😊👍🏼

The edges were a little wrinkled when I removed it from the plastic roll, which got so jarred during shipping that one of the covers shattered. It’s larger than any of the poster frames I could find so I had to fold it down to a smaller size to frame it.

Well made and informative.

It looked like someone had returned it before. Although the packaging was great, there was a large crease in the middle and crumpled edges. Quality control went out the window on this one. It was still usable and I needed it to teach a class, so I kept it anyway. Also, no protective lamination as stated.
