Useful variety of tools quality

Please pay attention that the regular kit has changed. The 'new' kit is not as nice as the old one. Both kits have unpolished yet very acceptable qualities. The 'newer' kit however has guide wires that are very cheap looking and come in just the one size. Who would want to use bright green wire on their tree? Perhaps vision impaired, so I don't want to judge. Just not at all classic materials. Just spend the 10 dollars more and get the old kit. That's my advice anyway. Enjoy and love your trees no matter what you're using to help them :)

This set was much better than I expected! I really only got it to use one or two tools, but I was very surprised by the quality of everything. Since they are for bonsai I assumed the tools would be "tiny and cute" but on the contrary, they are sturdy enough to be used for any type of plant. They look and feel heavy duty and the set is not lacking for any tool you might need. Somehow the picture makes it look cheapy but these are not cheapy in fact -- and purely speaking as a beginner with bonsai -- they are well worth the price.The only thing I wish it had was some kind of sheet that explained what each tool was specifically for. The handsome carrying case is nice, but I think I'll be keeping them in a glass jar so I can grab what I need quickly. If I have to open the nice case each time, prying it from the snug holders and putting them back each time, I may not use it. I can see where I have to be careful and wipe everything clean each time because they might be prone to rust.Definitely recommended as a gift for someone just getting into bonsai.

I don’t like that the tools are not stainless steel. They feel rough.

I received the Bonsai Tree Kit Bonsai Tools Set Succulent Kit 16PCS Garden Hand Tool Set Include Pruning Shears, Carbon Steel Bonsai Scissors, Bonsai Starter Kit Gardening Trimming Tools.I actually got this set for using with my small house plants and succulents.This is a medium quality set of Bonsai tools and most all of them work OK.I did find that I needed to hot-glue the heads of the Mini Wide Shovel, the Mini Narrow Shovel and the Mini Rake onto their handles as they kept falling off. They have not fallen off since I glued them.I am quite happy with all the tools, knowing before-hand that they were not professional quality. At the current price of $27, these are fair tools for the price.BTW, on the the leaf cutters has now made it's new home in my sewing box as these are great for snipping stray threads.

Not only is this a great kit for bonsai, but its an all around excellent product for most of your indoor gardening. The potting mat makes it extremely easy to keep the area clean by ensuring all soil is contained and collected when you are done. The fact that it can be washed clean and rolled up for storage is a great bonus. All the included tools are of decent quality, and the shears make nice clean cuts. Overall, this is a great product, and it would be an excellent gift idea for the plant lover in your life.
