While the looks are nice, I have sharper butter knives. The tip is nice and sharp, but that's it. The "blade" edge is cosmetic only. The grip is very aggressive and will stay put in the hand. Hotspots or blisters are not as great a concern as it is not a utility knife. Given the size and style of knife, this is not one for beginners to sharpen. Proper tooling and skill is going to be required. If you are not experienced with sharpening this kind of knife, either pay a professional or buy something else that will be sharp when you get it.

It came in the standard Amazon box but inside was a nice sleek acta non verba box that contained a certificate of authenticity but when I tried to cut a sheet of paper with it I noticed that the angle on the edge was not very sharp. I would buy it again but only if I had the proper tools necessary to sand the blade down so that I can get the beautiful 10 degree angle I so long for
