I manage a very large inventory of spare parts for a large food company and these are by far the best. We use them inside the large industrial Durham brand parts cabinets that come with hundreds of yellow parts bins that hang on the doors and back of the cabinet. They are so good that I saved all the packaging and went on Amazon to buy a half dozen for home use.Pros:Uses battery size everyone keeps on handExcellent battery efficiency/lifeComes with Velcro style command strips for mountingExcellent motion detectionChanging dead batteries is well thought into the design as you will have to remove light from where it is mounted to do so.Battery compartment does not require screwdriverProvides a good a good amount of light for closets and under cabinets.Good electronics (these have mini circuit boards controlling functions) and they are consistent and not trash.Long lasting. I use these in the garage so I have light as I step out the door. They come on with just the door opening and cast a surprising amount of light. Already the batteries are lasting longer than some previous old led units I had, I have high hopes for these.

I needed a motion activated light for my unlit closet and the Ecolight does a great job of illuminating the dark space. First of all, the assembly was very quick and easy. There are two places on the bottom of the light for adhesive strips included in the box. The light stays put with velcro strips and takes less than 2 minutes to install. Once installed, the light works great. Whenever it senses motion it turns on like advertised and puts out a neutral white light. My only complaint with this light is that it isn't that bright. It is bright enough to see the clothes in my closet, but probably not bright enough for a room a little bit larger than a 5x2 closet. The light also turns off after 30 seconds of inactivity. This light also uses LEDs which will last for a very long time and will use minimal power, therefore increasing the lifespan of the included AA batteries. I have two closets with no outlets and no lights. These wonderful lights are a life saver. They were easy to install, battery powered, and work flawlessly when I open the door to the closet. Plus, they stay on for about 30 seconds just long enough to find what I need and close the door. If I spend a little more time in the closet, I just wave my hand and both lights turn on again. Fantastic and worth every penny

I bought this light because I had used a few in the past and always found them to be reliable and perfect for lighting up closets. I mounted this one inside the linen closet in the hallway (I already had some in the bedroom closets which worked perfectly for years). It is now so nice to open the door and have a light, positioned exactly where I need it, which turns itself off after I close the door. Nice! The batteries seem to last a really long time and I only have to change them out once or twice in a year. They are sturdy too. I have dropped them a few times when changing the batteries, but it never seems to affect them. They just keep working. I think they are great.

The light worked and was reasonably bright. It also ate batteries much faster than expected. We conducted experiments and discovered that it was detecting people moving in an adjacent room, through the sheet rock. In other words, it stayed on for hours. I am an electrical engineer so removed four screws and investigated the sensor.It is a very common IR device with a small detection window that was covered by a slip on mushroom beam spreader. Removed the slip-on clear plastic spreader, reassembled, and then it responded only to people directly under the lamp. Perfect for closets!Really, anyone could do this easy mod if you find the batteries draining due to false tripping.This is not some kind of serious security light. It is simply a way to light a closet or similar small area. Nothing to wire, no chains to pull. Just what we were looking for. Recommend for this purpose.

This light will stay on if you put it in a cabinet or anywhere it is dark. The package says you can put it in a cabinetbut that is wrong. I bought it to light a dark closet, but it is useless.
