After 3.5 years of use in industry
I am a service engineer that specializes in electrical and control systems. I bought this box back in May of 2017 and have been using it on a daily basis in multiple industries. While working in the plastics industry this box sustained multiple impacts from forklifts and cranes, the occasional opportunist trying to break into it for my tools, and being loaded into the trunk of my vehicle every single day thereafter. I also use this box with my duties in the CNC manufacturing industry. My likes:- Easy to breakdown and load into the trunk of my vehicle.- It can be wheeled through tight passages to machinery so many other types of toolboxes cannot.- Made out of more metal than plastic.- Protects my tools very well.My dislikes:- Though the box frame is steel, it dents easy.- The plastic and aluminum parts of this box fail and do need repair and replacement from time to time.- Small tools can work out of the back drawers from time-to-time.- The lift-out tray located in the upper box is injection molded plastic and has a large opening under the handle that allows tools to frequently fallout. I covered the opening to solve this frequent and potential tool losing situation.Parts that have broken or been damaged:- Plastic floor plate where the rivets pulled through (repaired)- The clip on the pullout plastic organizer cracked (still functional)- The aluminum handle for toting the box broke (fabricated a new one out of steel that was available on-hand)- Plastic flange that attaches the bottom half of the aluminum handle to the box broke (resecured using sheet metal screws from the plastic cross support to the main body of the box)- All plastic brackets that attach the stretch cord to the outside of the box (I don't use so I didn't repair/replace)- Plastic/metal clips that secure upper box damage (plastic holes damaged but still usable and the steel hoops bent and can be bent back into shape)- Steel locking hinges for upper box bend often (easy enough to straighten back out)Knowing what I know about this box, I have ordered a second identical box for when this one finally fails. Although I would like to find a stronger box with the same footprint, I am unable to find anything as well built, let alone stronger....There are my "two cents."

Defective when delivered - But issued Resolved
I research a tool trolley for months before deciding on this one. I unpacked it and none of the four drawers opened! I search youtube, the manufacture's website and everything else I could think of. Nothing to lend guidance. So as much as I did not want to I returned it - there was not an option to have it replaced and the big rub is that I have to pay to ship a defective item back to the manufacturer. I contacted the manufacturer and they responded very promptly and said it was probably damage that occurred, they were willing to pay for the return shipping and send me another one. My husband was able to resolve the issue - the lock had become stuck during shipping and therefore the drawers couldn't open. But now that the issue has been resolved, I love this trolley. It's a bit heavy even on wheels but it can fit all of my food styling props. Great customer service!

Far from decent quality
Man... where do I start?Received my unit today in a big double box with foam inside. It was like Christmas morning to me. But then...The two middle drawers are off their tracks on one side, and can't be put back on the tracks because the inside of the metal tracks are bent, and inside those metal tracks are lined in plastic, which is also warped and misshapen. The bottom drawer won't even pull out, even though you can feel it unlatch when you press the botton. There is no way that high quality ball bearing tracks were used and you can feel that they wouldn't hold anything heavy, even while empty. Plus there's gouges in the corners and wide gaps between the drawers and frames. You'd think "powdercoating" would hold up better, but no, this thing was scratched up in a few places too.Top toolbox isn't even made of metal, it's PLASTIC. I don't mind the top lid being heavy duty plastic (as advertised), but this whole unit is also advertised (not only by this authorized dealer, but also on the Beta website) as ALL METAL CONSTRUCTION. Only the bottom 2/3 is metal casing and drawers. The dolly base is cheap plastic. What good is the rest of the box if it's foundation is garbage? The "telescoping handle" wouldn't rise either. The wheel castors are smooth textured and obviously cheap plastic. They aren't rolling over anything.I have to be honest, despite what I thought could possibly be a dud, I was expecting a LOT better quality for the price. Plus, the day I receive it, it's now nearly $200 cheaper on Amazon from the same Dealer! I did a TON of research on this product, along with similar products of all their competitors. I wanted THE BEST for my needs. The price is a tough pill to swallow, but I took a chance given that I thought this was "The Ferrari of Tool Boxes". That sure is how it's presented. I was about to re-order in hopes of getting a quality unit, but I'm a bit weary now.I went with this product because- the dimensions are perfect for my needs- it locks up- was supposed to be all heavy duty metal construction- supposedly had tough powdercoating to protect the metal shell- had trigger buttons (that worked) to open the drawers (so it stays closed)- sounded like it would last foreverNot only is this tool box NOT worth $600, it's not even worth half that. Pretty sad when Harbor Freight has better quality tool boxes than Beta, which is supposed to be the Top of The Line, Creme de la creme, the pride of European quality, durability, and functionality. I don't know if they stopped making these in Italy and moved manufacturing to Taiwan or China, but they may want to reconsider their quality control, because in concept this is a beautiful piece.I'm pretty bummed out. I wanted it to be awesome. It took a lot to make that leap and spend that kind of loot on a toolbox. I also needed it for an out-of-town job next weekend. I hope I can find a decent replacement in time. To the vendor's credit, they offered to send me a return shipping label to save me $50 from NY. If I lived closer, I'd consider heading to their facility to inspect their other units, because I really wanted one of these things. I hope for all resellers of this product that the one I received was simply a lemon, because you can be sure that anyone spending this kind of money will NOT be happy if it falls apart in a short period of time.
