like the NOW whole psyllium husks. have been using them for years.

The media could not be loaded. This was the best price I could find recently for whole psyllium husks, tho these actually seem to be ground up a bit… but they seem to work just as well as whole husks I’ve used in the past that appeared to be more “whole” in appearance …( I don’t feel well if I use the powdered form ). I also like the size and shape of this bottle which makes it easy for me to use and store… my family takes this Psyllium, and I also will add it to my dog’s food when I can’t avoid added starches in their food, and I believe it also helps with preventing worms… I hope this continues to be available and at a good price, I’ve had to look for a new source of whole psyllium husks almost every time I order…

I never knew about psyllium husks until I started looking into vegan diets, and purchased this to act as a binder for baking. After learning about its laxative effect I tried taking a tablespoon in the morning to ease constipation, and I have never again had an issue with stool dryness. I still do get the occasional day where I don’t have a bowel movement, but when it does come, it is smooth and comfortable, like a gliding phantom log leaving no trace of ever having been there. Goodbye to hard or sticky stool!

this was a great deal and well worth the price! the product definitely works - which is to say, it helps you poop or at least makes your poops more comfortable. it's easy to take and encourages you to drink a lot of water, which is always good. it's also supposed to help make you feel full and therefore eat less, but so far that hasn't worked for me. it's not my intention though, so that's okay. the only thing that keeps this from being five stars is that i don't like the taste. i know it doesn't really have a taste but it does and it's kind of like drinking dust. but not as unpleasant. overall, i will definitely re-order this when i run out.

I have been using psyllium all my life. This item works extremely well and I highly recommend. I put a teaspoon or two in my orange juice every morning and it goes down really well. I actually like it quite a lot.I purchased a few of these a couple of years ago - 12 ounces - and then purchased more from the same company recently - 12 ounces. Since I still had one left from a couple of years ago, I was able to see the size difference in the containers. There is QUITE A HUGE DIFFERENCE in the size of the containers, the one bought a couple years ago and the ones recently purchased, yet they both say they are 12 ounces. Something is rotten in Denmark - Not sure what is going on but this does not make sense.

I have no idea why other manufacturers think they can charge such exhorbitant prices for their psyllium-based products, nor do I care. All I can say is that this brand is priced well below the others and delivers what I was looking for: A bulking agent for the lower digestive system as a natural means to achieve regularity. The husks have no flavor, which I actually prefer; and, because it's purely natural, I have to respect the fact that the husks expand fast and must be consumed quickly rather than sipped while reading the news or whatever. My only complaint is that this packaging is the most affordable, but I'd love to see a bagged quantity (which they do have) that's equally reasonable so I don't have to deal with single-use plastic containers.
