Nice spread
I bought this spread to use on my sofa instead of a bed. I have a very expensive leather sofa, and 3 new cats to the household. I've tried other throws made for sofas, and have had the "backing" deteriorate after a couple of years, found the throws too small and don't fit well, don't actually fully cover the sides and arm rests where the cats would scratch, and the way the products are designed, no way to hold the throws in place. So I went with the queen size spread - this product offered the longest length, 120", which was the same for both the queen and king sizes. My sofa is quite long, and my old queen size bed spread did not fully cover the length of the sofa. But at 120", this new spread works fine. Since I have no use for the extra large shams, I tucked these under the ends of the spread to fully cover down the sides of the arm rests.I wish the color came in a chocolate brown, which would have matched my original leather color. The taupe is a much lighter color than I preferred, but it was the compromise that I had to accept. The spread is thin and lightweight, but enough to protect my sofa from the cats running, jumping, and sleeping on it. It is wide enough that it drapes down the backside of the sofa, even when I tucked it in at the seats, so that sitting on it, or cats jumping on it won't pull it off. If you want to use this as a furniture throw and need the back fully covered, you may want to consider getting the king size. My sofa is up against a wall, so I didn't need it to fully cover the back, but there is enough fabric that it stays on the sofa during use.

Lightweight, soft, linty
I like the weight - I've had trouble finding a lightweight bedspread like this. I'd been searching for something in seersucker, but it's virtually unavailable these days unless you want grandma's goofy gingham pastels (apologies to Vermont Country Store), or the newer "cotton gauze" that seems to have replaced traditional seersucker everywhere you look. This spread seems like it will work as a decent substitute, though not quite as breathable. Rather like a large light/med-weight blanket. The king size is generous - 120" x 120" - which is convenient, because no matter how you orient it on the bed, it fits the same (and the pattern is symmetrical).I was truly shocked by the amount of lint that came off (both in the washer and the dryer) the first time I laundered it (see photo). I'm hoping that doesn't persist.

It is beautiful but allow for fading and shrinkage.
Out of the package, it is beautiful and just what I wanted. It is the perfect weight for summer or for an added layer in winter. The design of the weave gives it a vintage look. It is hard to find cotton bedspreads like this, which is why I am keeping it.The good:*100% cotton *Perfect to add weight to your covers *Gives a smooth, retro look to the bed when it's made. The bad:*It sheds BAD in the drier *It shrinks when you wash it *The color fades in patchesI initially washed it (cold, mild detergent) per the instructions. I had to clean my dryer filter four times before it was dry. Had I not been watching, it could have overheated, possibly starting a fire. When I made the bed, you could see where the color leached out, almost like a reverse tie-dye. I really wanted it to work out so I washed it again, in deep water setting, on cold with no detergent, to see if it would all fade evenly. Again, it shed a ton through the drying process. When I made the bed a second time, I could tell the color had evened out and it wouldn't be noticeable to someone else. I wanted it as a bedspread and had I realized how much it would shrink, I would have purchased a King for my Queen bed. There is a discrepancy between the Amazon image and the product's packaging image. The Amazon picture shows it going to the floor. The packaging shows a shorter one, with a visible bedskirt or platform underneath. I had really hoped for a bedspread to get away from a bedskirt showing beneath.Overall, I needed it and I am willing to accept the negative. I want to let others know what to expect.

Love this!!!
I LOVE this bedspread! I wanted cotton because I'm a hot sleeper. I'm glad I read the reviews about how much lint it put our in the dryer. I washed and dried it 3 times before putting it on the bed. The first time there was alot of lint, the second time not as bad, and the third time about the same as any other laundry. It did shrink a little which was fine because I didn't want it to touch the floor. It is a little heavy when wet, but once it's dry it's very lightweight, and so soft. I got the king size aqua, and I love it! Don't be afraid to buy this. A little extra work in the beginning will give you a long time of great sleep!

Quality bedspread
This is a quality cotton bedspread, not skimpy, thick enough for year-round use! Holds up well after washing.

Misrepresentation
Very disappointed, says in the description that the spread is 120” x 120”. The size is 113” x 108”, i needed a longer spread that’s why I hunted and purchased this bedspread.
