I always take vitamin d during the winter months and this one seems as good as any.

This vitamin is essential for good health as only certain foods contain it, like fish, meat and eggs. Especially important in the winter months or for those who don't venture out of the house very often. Due of course to the Sun being the largest supplier of Vitamin D3 through our skin. These capsules are easy to swallow and you get 60 for an inexpensive price. I use them every day and of all the vitamins out there, Vitamin D3 and Vitamin C are probably the most important. Good product, nice package and well priced. Highly recommended.

A little extra Vitamin D is alsways handy, I used to drink more milk and be outside more but nowadays I find that I do both less. These little pills should help top up that missing deficit.The pills are small and easy to swallow, with no weird taste. The bottle they are supplied in is very oversized for the amount of pills, they barely take up a 1/4 of the volume. I feel these would be better supplied in either a smaller bottle, or a printed resealable foil pouch like some other vitamins have started coming in.

This Vitamin D3 supplement of 60 capsules of 600 IU (15 mcg) each by SunVit-D3 came in a long white opaque container which protects the contents from sunlight and which was sealed at the top and under the cap. The best-before date was printed on the underside of the bottle (21 months in my case) as well as its batch number.As the product page states, Vitamin D is necessary for healthy bones, teeth and muscles. Vitamin D3 derived from animal products is the form most easily absorbed or bioavailable and results in higher levels of Vit D in the bloodstream.The daily recommended dose is 10 mcg (400 IU) whereas I note that each capsule of this product contains 15 mcg (600 IU). As the dose per capsule exceeds the daily recommended dose and assuming no medical conditions requiring a higher dose, I would only take one daily, especially in the summer months when more Vit D is absorbed through the skin as there is more sunshine than in the other seasons.I am not concerned about the dosage, however, for 2 reasons : 1st) The reviewer called Haselbury has had the same brand prescribed by the NHS, a definite seal of approval and 2nd) Although the dose per capsule does exceed the daily recommended dose, it is well within safe limits because adverse effects including nausea and, more concerning, a dangerous build-up of calcium likely to harm the kidneys and heart normally only occur at doses exceeding 100 mcg (4000 IU) daily.The effects of using this supplement would not normally be apparent unlike, for example, heartburn or sleep medication but I trust that this supplement of the most bioavailable form of Vitamin D and made by a UK-based manufacturer to GMP standards can only be doing me good. As I am taking one a day, the supply will last me two months which is very good value. Recommended. 5 stars.

Cholecalciferol is a form of vitamin D important for maintaining calcium levels. These are nice and small, smooth and very easy to swallow. I also like the faux "bottle" they come in.The NHS recommend most people to take a Vitamin D supplement in the winter when skin is exposed to less sunlight. It helps the body absorb calcium and protects against some bone conditions. These are 600 IU (international units) and the NHS recommend you take 10IU so these are well beyond that.I have taken these for about six weeks instad of my usual dose vitamin D supplement and in all honesty I can't say I feel any different except for a tinge of worry about what taking this much vit D will do to me. I'd recommend some research into recommended doses.

These capsules are quite small and easy to swallow with no taste.They are a good price for the 60 capsules.

I received this product through the Amazon Vine programme and this review is based on my own opinions.I usually take one a day through the winter months to keep topped up and these will be fine. Easy to swallow in this small capsule form too.

Easy to swallow and very effective pills. I take one pill a day and it really helps to keep my vitamin D levels just right. Great product for the money.
