Q: Red a true color or darker ???

It's a darker, warmer red. Brick.

Q: Do the Smaller sizes, with a 1 inch border or lip?

The mat I purchased has a small lip around the edge approximately 3/8 of an inch. My mat is approximately 14X24.

Q: Does size XL have a lip on it?

Description says that each have a 1/2 inch lip but the lip is really about 1/4 of an inch. So yes, it does have a lip but not a very big one.

Q: Does this product have a heat rating for use as a trivet on granite countertop?

Officially, I’m not sure. But I took the chance and have run this through my dishwasher on the normal cycle several times and I haven’t seen any issues. Hope that helps!
