It really works!!
I have a small pond under my waterfall and have tried a different vacuum with no success. It was one that has to be immersed in the water to work. Having a shallow pond made it a very difficult task and the vacuum kept falling apart.While the reviews for this vacuum were not that great, I decided to take a chance.I was pleasantly surprised the first time I used it. It did an excellent job of removing the pollen build-up on the bottom of my pond. This vacuum is well designed and very easy to use.The attached picture was taken right after the first time I used it. Before that, I couldn't see the bottom of the pond.

Worked for one minute – wasted my money
$400 Gone! I plugged it in and started vacuuming the pond that worked great for one minute, and then started sparking, a strong, burning smell came from inside the unit and smoke everywhere.

Unbelievably cheap construction
This pond vac is an absolute waste of money. Overheated after 5 min of use. Switch broke first day. Was ready for the garbage on day 2. Go out and buy yourself a great shop vac and get better results.

Intermittent cycle can be slow
This works really well but the intermittent cycle that it uses can be a bit slow. While using it, the motor would stop, I wait it would turn back on and then in about 10 feet it would stop again. I was going at a slower pace to avoid the settled algae from getting kicked up, but during the off cycle some return water would push it around. Other then that though it seemed to work well, and was easy to clean.

IT never worked, part of switch not connected.
the instruction tell what switch to use for water and that part not connected ! It dry one fired up once.My son is a Blue Hozision robotic elcetrician and husband retired master electrician and openit and saw part not connected. They said unit sealed and did not wan to force it open to check it out, I NEVER GOT TO USE IT. BOUGHTR BEFOR WINTER HER NEAR Canada and snow for all winter. Got it out new and shiny and they were going to show me hoow it works. Well it does NOT !! Please I need it replaced so I can clean my little Koi Pond. This is terrible, I am 75 and trusted you . #1400 Pond Vacuume.Pat Motley
