Q: What is the diameter?

The one I got was less than 1/2 inch in diameter. A 1/2 inch ground clamp would not fit.

Q: 2” thick? As listed in the product factoid box. What? How about stating the overall length as well.

Mine Has a sticker on it stating. 5/8 inch thick by 4 feet long

Yes. A 8’ ground copper clad rod is a 8’ copper clad ground rod. NEC code requires ground rods to be 8a’ so don’t buy/use 4’ rods. Also know NEC Code REQUIRES any ground rods for whatever purpose, including antenna’s so also have a #6 gauge wire run back to the main common house electrical ground/ bond point (usually where the utility power, telco, and CATV are grounded. Reasons for this are too complicated to detail here, but very important to follow because of possible fire/ shock issues. Call any licensed local Electrican for help.
