The mat not only gives some cushion comfort but more importantly it protects the rope from wearing out from hitting on the cement.

I really like how large this jump rope mat is, it's nicely thick without being heavy, I'm new to jumping rope for weight loss and haven't gotten good at it yet so I wanted a larger mat to prevent my rope getting caught on the grass, I was shocked ( pleasantly) at it's size but was instantly happy with it... it feels nice under my feet and absorbs shock as expected

Crossrope was charging way too much for a jump rope mat. I found this instead and it works very well. I definitely recommend buying this over the cross rope version

Nice and slightly spongy to jump on. I placed it on concrete, so it moves a little as you jump, but that's not it's fault. Good mat
