Super buy!
We love a mug of coffee made with coffee whitener but hate trying to judge when the water is just the right temperature to pour. The kettles on the market that operated varying temperatures all seemed in excess of £70.00. This kettle stood out as amazing value at £29.99. It is so easy to set the temperature control too and our coffees are perfect each time. The kettle can hold nearly two litres of water and doesn't have a flip top lid but we find if we put in the water we actually need, it heats to the required temperature very quickly. We love the different colours at the base which light up when we set our favoured temperature. All in all we have been seriously impressed with this model and would highly recommend.

A great kettle
I needed to replace a old, but newish kettle that I was waiting for far too long to boil on a daily basis. This kettle ticks a few boxes for me. Not only does it boil quickly, it has a large 1.8ltr capacity, and a keep hot facility, although I doubt I'd ever use that function to be honest. It has digital control and presets for boiling water or even making tea through the built in diffuser. The glass body is great for water levels and the lid just pulls off, not hinged as in other kettles. I like that. The icing on the cake are the lights. Not important in the grand scheme of things but they're nice. Blue for standby, red for heating and green when the cycle is done. It's a great kettle without the bells and whistles but I think it's a better kettle with them. When or if I ever have to replace my kettle, I'd buy this one again.

This kettle was great, very noise. But worked well constantly till it didn't 🥴 had about 5 month now. So paid for itself really I sup.But came in today put it on and just nothing at all ?Worked perfectly till to say, has a blue light when switched on. The light is on, but just stone cold refuses to heat up

Edited Review for Chefman Glass Kettle - mostly very good
17th February 2025I have left my original review of this product below but feel I should now update my comments.I mentioned the blue lights that appear when this kettle is switched on. Pretty extra, one that I didn't see much point in. Well, in December, just on the 6 month mark, all the blue lights stopped working.Today, exactly 7 months to the day I ordered this kettle, it stopped working completely. It had been looked after, it had been kept clean, it had been descaled every month. Just 7 months. I have never had a kettle that only lasted 7 months before, they last me years - and almost all of them always cost far less than this kettle cost.Where is it now? In the trash and that's likely the place it should have gone the day I received it.Original Review:Looking exactly like the seller's own display images, I decided I wanted a new kettle and after much hunting through Amazon's pages (and the very good user reviews) I settled on this model - but only because it was nigh on half-price at the time of my ordering. The insert for adding tea (of whatever kind you prefer) will not be used although it is an interesting idea that I'm sure many will make good use of.The kettle itself is nicely designed, I do like the shape of the body, and it is very stable. The markings on the glass are very clear and so it is easy to ensure you put in the amount of water you need. The blue lights, well, I can live without them since I see no point in them but, I have to say, they do look quite charming when the kettle is on.In use, it is reasonably quick to boil - I don't expect instantaneous results from any kettle - and at the moment it is much quieter than other kettles I have used over recent years. Only time will tell if that low volume stays after a few months of use. But I don't really mind about kettles being noisy, at least you always know they are switched on!The lid is not fixed to the main body and simply lifts off. This is obvious given that the tea infuser has to attach to it but it does seem to stay firm. Just remember to remove that infuser when it is not being used.I have given a 4 star rating for this kettle. I knocked off 1 star for a couple of reasons. Firstly, whilst the handle is said to remain cool, it doesn't stay cool for the whole of its length - be careful of putting your hand too close to the top when lifting it after boiling. Secondly, I was disappointed that the inside of the glass body retains a cloud of condensation after use. This does not happen with all glass kettles and, given the full price of this kettle, I was surprised that little matter hadn't been addressed during the design stage. However, the condensation can (mostly) be got rid of by emptying the hot water you haven't used (which you should do every time anyway), wait a while for the kettle to cool, add some cold water and swish it around the inside. Hey presto, condensation gone and a nice-looking kettle remains on the worktop.A nice product that I can recommend, even with my adverse comments, but I would never consider paying the full price, it just isn't worth that amount of money. If you can buy it when there is a sale or reduction, you are getting a bargain and a quality kettle.

Great kettle for the price.
Great kettle so far. This replaced a digital kettle I have had for several years but was starting to fall apart after heavy usage over the years.Out the box its a kettle you plug in and boil water with lol. Followed instructions to boil the water, drain it, repeat a few times and it should be clean and ready to use. Boils water fast i'd say in around 3 minutes depending on how much water is in the kettle. Build quality is good and works as intended.***Tip this kettle is always lit up lights on and display, if you want to turn it off hold down the Start/Stop button for a few seconds and it will turn off the Kettle until you press the button again to turn it back on, you dont need to switch it off at the wall :) ****

Good kettle in general
I am quite pleased with this kettle. It has an attractive design and is reasonably priced. Overall, we are satisfied with our purchase. The only downside is that if you pour water immediately after it boils, the handle can get extremely hot.
