Bought this to replace our original worn out and practically useless Hyundai ix35 key. It was really straight forward to swap the components from the old key fob to this one. After reading previous reviews I made sure I didn't leave out the transponder chip, mine came out very easily it was just under a white clip in the top corner of the original and went into the new one effortlessly. I decided to use the original key blade, it wasn't too difficult to remove the pin holding the blank key blade in place. Once it was out I realised that the original was slightly larger than the blank one. At this point I could have got the blank blade cut but I decided to see if I could make the original one fit. It took a bit of filing but I got there in the end. If you have the same problem and aren't confident at giving this a go then definitely get the blank cut by a professional but if you are you can save yourself a bit of money. Unfortunately, it seems that I am missing a screw that helps hold the parts together (see picture). I will put one in at some point when I work out what size I need. Thankfully this is my spare so it isn't too urgent. I am worried that if I put a bigger one in by mistake I might damage it. That aside, I've tried the key in the car and it locks, unlocks, pops the boot and starts all as it should! One the whole I'd recommend this product.

Just the job ! Saved hundreds

The key-blade release button does not work with the original car key-blade so you have to use the original release button, as such, the key-blade does not fold down and lock in place, consequently the key-blade constantly flicks open when on a desk or, even more annoying, in your pocket. Should have bought the manufacturer's replacement,.

So it turns out there was a tiny black chip in the original keys that I didn’t notice or assumed it was just part of the plastic casing that got thrown away and this feckin tiny oversight has resulted in me getting a new battery a coil mass immobiliser a original call out charger plus 1 hour labor then the key specialist to insert new chips and reprogram the car total cost for my cheap fix £564.03 🤪Now that’s a sore lesson 🙄

Good quality, looks like the original but the micro chip is glued and sealed so hard, it’s impossible to open, looks so easy on YouTube!

This item does not fit if you have an i20 key which is bevelled on the right side, make sure to check before ordering,
