it will not fit in the 2015 Outback rear hatch unless you modify it.I immersed the bucket in hot water until the plastic became soft and malleable then forced it into the rear hatch and closed the hatch cover. the bucket molded itself to the bottom of the kayak and now fits. However, after a few months the plastic cracked.

Will it fit the 2012 mirage sport? it has the middle hatch but the standard depth of the oem bucket isn’t as deep.

Probably, but not certain. Hobie standardizes their stuff across their line to fit the most.

will the deep bucket fit an Adventure Island?

They should, if there is a shallow bucket in it. I'm not familiar with the craft

No, this will only fit the deeper hatches on Hobie kayaks. It will definitely not fit other brands.
