Best upgrade to my car yet
After seeing this head unit with no reviews, I took a chance by buying it. However, it turned out to be a very good head unit. The built-in Android Auto worked perfectly, but I decided to download the Head Unit Reloaded app to be able to adjust certain settings and even use wireless Android Auto which did not come with the unit. The air conditioning controls work perfectly and a non intrusive screen comes up when adjusting settings using the physical buttons. The software on the head unit is great as well. Everything is fluid and quick thanks to the updated Android 10 software and octa core CPU. If you choose to install a custom backup camera (I have the base model so my car did not come with one) it will work with this unit as long as it has a yellow video cable. When putting the car into reverse, the head unit will lower the volume and the camera will automatically pop up. It even has lines that move as you turn the steering wheel if you connect the OBD 2 port. For a while, I was deterred from buying one of these Chinese head units because of videos I had seen on YouTube about similar ones and reading comments about sound quality, software, compatibility, etc. After using this unit for about a week, it is safe to say that none of these issues are present. From YouTube, I had seen similar units with installed that had ugly software and bad sound quality. The software on this unit is different from the others because there is no boot time, other than when you first install it. After that, every time you turn on the car, within 3 seconds the screen is fully functional and whatever app you had it on is opened again. Also, the software does not look like this is just an Android tablet put into a car. It looks like it was made for a car. Moving on to sound quality, this head unit does not disappoint. I am typically a person who really pays attention to the quality of the speakers when listening to music, and I did this as well before I installed the unit. In my car, I do not have the Mark Levinson, but the speakers always sounded great. After installing the unit, the sound quality remains exactly the same as with the stock stereo. The only difference is that now, the volume knob on the part with the CD changer now controls how much power is delivered to the speakers, and the steering wheel controls and head unit volume slider both control the volume. For example, if I turn down the "power" knob but turn up the volume from the head unit, the speakers will sound terrible. But if I turn up the "power" knob, the speakers will sound better and be able to get louder. Once I found the sweet spot, I left the "power" knob alone and now only use the head unit/steering wheel to control volume. Also, I recommend setting your preferred equalizer settings using the stock stereo before putting this one in because, while there is an equalizer in this head unit, it does not work very well and I did not end up using it because the settings I had already set from the stock stereo remained. The head unit comes with 3 USB connections, 1 separate from the other two that are connected to the same port on the back of the head unit. I personally used the 3rd one for my dash cam and tucked the wire behind the head unit. The other two I ran under the unit and into the ash tray (which is removable) because there was a hole in the side of it that left a convenient way to run the wire. Most car chargers do not do a very good job at charging my phone, but this one charged it pretty well. Overall a great head unit and I am glad I bought it. Do not watch any YouTube videos about Android head units for IS250s and 350s because I have yet to find a video of this exact model that has the better software.

Nav unit is solid but no quality control nor instructions.
4 month update: despite having a few quirks, this has been the best upgrade I’ve added to the car. I’m bumping rating up to 4 stars because it’s performed so great.Overall: Good product, glad I purchased. Display is responsive, looks crisp. Significant feature improvements over original radio/AC system. Note: I upgraded the non-nav unit on a 2007 is350.First why I deducted stars:1. There is absolutely no instructions that come with the unit. (I attached some that might help you).2. I was sent an incomplete unit. NONE of the necessary software was installed on the unit (for example the "AirCondition" app was not even installed nor opened upon pressing the A/C controls). I contacted the seller and he kept insisting to check the wires despite it clearly being a software problem and not hardware. I contacted Amazon for a replacement and it worked flawlessly when I reinstalled it.What works well:1. Steering wheel controls work for volume, changing songs, and quickly changing to certain apps (radio, aux, music, video, etc).2. Bluetooth connects well and reconnects automatically. Calls sound good on both ends, even with the built in mic. (I didn't connect the one included)3. Original CD player/AUX/Radio still works. Found within an app “Original Car” and radio app respectively (Note: plug in the radio plug into the top unit).4. I used one of the usb slots to add a wireless CarPlay unit (Carlinkit). It opens automatically and allows me to use CarPlay/Android Auto. What could be improved:1. The volume inputs are split. There's volume on the nav device and the CD player part. If the audio sounds weird check if the CD part volume is maxed out.2. There is a big overhang from the air vents on the 2006-2008 models. The unit was designed for the 2009-2013 models so keep that in mind if a poor fit will bother you.3. The app to change what the steering wheel buttons do doesn't work (at least on my model/year).4. Takes awhile to boot up (approx 30 seconds) but the important things are accessible while booting. Backup camera will open anytime. A/C can be turned on before fully booted. Hazards still work normally.Final note: love how it works, especially the CarPlay. I will try to provide an update after using it for awhile.

OEM backup camera not compatible
The unit fits well(not perfect) and has a lot of great functionality. Sound quality is great, screen looks good, has quality picture, and touch screen response time is great.Unfortunately the oem backup camera does not work. I have worked with technical support team for a couple weeks, sending pictures to them, checking different items and then they stated "sorry I messed something up with this, so your connection is right the backup camera was control by the decoder box, , could you please check all cables port pins in good condition or not ?"I checked and responded that all cables, pins, and connections are good. They have now stopped responding.I love the unit but did purchase with the expectation of keeping my reverse camera. If you don't care about your backup camera, this unit is Fantastic otherwise.

If you read one review, read this one it'll save you a bunch of time. This is a GREAT BUY!!
The backup plug goes underneath the steeringwheel or right above the pedals. It took me forever to a Find this but once I did I really appreciated lexus a lot more.lexus Puts this port in especially for a new head unit so the reverse works.I have a lexus is 250 2006There just one port with a cap on it (Underneath the steering wheel)Once you know where to look it's very easy to find..Also make sure you put the radio plug into theThe new Media Center..You will have to take tape off the radiojack plug and split it apart from the c d player power plug.If you don't do this and leave it plugged in to the CD player the radio wont-work right !!But if you plug it in to the new media center everything works perfect. The sound is just as good as before and actually quite a bit louder now.The only weird thing about this unit, is the old volume Knob now controls the Volumes power I actually kind of like it though. You can turn it up way more now, be careful of blowing your speakers out. But sometimes you need the music a little louder and this makes that happen. And just so you know the RCA cables don't plug into anything (Unless you're putting in another video unit with this) you do use the red and white for the radio and yellow for backup camera tho.I had to go into the factory settings and switch a few things around like the backup camera was in reverse and the volume on the steering wheel was reversed too, but both things are easily fixed on the factory settings page in (apps)I would have someone help you take it out. I did it by myself and roughed up the edges a little bit. So if you can get somebody to help you take it out, The edges are easily roughed up, especially in 2006 Lexus. The plastic is pretty soft and doesn't take much to rough it up. If you do rough it up I would use soft black putty. Make sure you get soft putty though..Customer support was really good for me too they always got back to me, by the next day.Another thing to know is to hook your phone up to car play. You first have to hook it up to bluetooth. This media center Works PERFECT there's no little kinks. Everything works like it's suppose to.. It's a must have if you ask me.

I have a new car!
I upgraded my car radio to this unit, and I must say it has been a game-changer for my driving experience. Best upgrade that can be done to the car. The support as been amazing! I lost a knob for the unit and was able to replace it. One of the most pleasant support experiences I have had.
