Looks sturdy, but:Got 2 bikes.Both front wheels are out of true. Bad. I will have to pay a shop , or do it myself.Saddles are hard. Hope you are into it.Motor is CSJ , can buy it in Alibaba for 60 bucks.They painted the seat post, so, when you move it up or down, you will get some decorative scratches on it.Brake rotors out of true as well.The rear light uses AAA batteries, instead of being connected to the main battery, and has its own switch to turn it on/off. Way to cut corners right there in a +1,000 dollars bike.Spare batteries are out stock.Customer Service will answer in about 24 hours.Not bad, not really good.Why I’ll keep it?Well, it’s a pain to return a bike. Second, one of my goals is to learn, and little by little buy the tools needed, to take apart a bike, and put it back together. Shops around here are very few, very expensive, and with horrible customer service, and wait times. For an old guy like me, with his first ebike, I have nothing to compare it with, but it makes my ride to work a breeze. No more struggling breaking the inertia after I come to a complete stop. Yes, I obey Stop signs, and Red Lights. I strongly recommend it if you don’t. It works wonders for your “health”. After a complete stop, you will be riding again at 15mph in 3 seconds. Groovy. It takes me 4 minutes to Drive my SUV to work. 7 minutes in my bike. Hopefully the bike, and the battery will last enough to recoup the money I’m saving in Gas. I have hopes that the present administration will keep increasing the gallon of gas price till is cheaper to fill our tanks with French Champagne. So yes, I expect to save some serious dollars riding this thing for as long as Chicago weather allows it.

The Hurley laguna bike is fine on flat ground but if you go up hills the battery dies quickly.My biggest issue is customer service.My e bike stopped working so I brought it to a bike shop.The problem was diagnosed to be the on- off switch was broken.For six weeks the bike shop has tried to get in touch with Hurley on the phone and e-mail but to no avail.Now I have a very expensive e bike sitting in a bike shop and if I can’t get the part I need the bike is useless.

Back tire was flat and would not hold air after being pumped up

We were looking for a well priced electric bike for me to try out since we live in a very hilly area. My husband is a big fan of e bikes. I wasn't ready to invest in a very expensive model like his Specialized mountain bike. Nor did I need off road capabilities. This Hurley bike fit the bill. It has good quality Shimano parts and the wheels are true. The brakes work well. It has nice "townie" styling like I wanted.We shopped some e bikes online at a membership warehouse store and found that those bikes had more plastic and or lesser quality components .IF you want to try out an e bike without spending many thousands, give this a try. I should add that it is comfortable and easy to ride.
