Best Cubes on the Market
I am a big whiskey drinker and like my scotch and other beverages to be cold, but not too watered down.I have tried many ice cube molds on the market, but none of them have lived up the Tovolo reputation. This product works extremely well for several reasons. The first being the cube's intricate molds on the inside. The cubes sit diagonal so that when the cubes have frozen, removing them from the mold is extremely easy. This design is much better than molds I have tried in the past because flat-sitting silicon molds require you to use some grunt work to remove them. The second reason is the size of the cubes. Because the cubes are so large, they hardly melt at all during the course of my drink. (Beware) These cubes may not fit in all of your glasses because of the size(Pros)-Easy to remove cubes-very large, take a long time to melt-molds are more durable than their circular counterparts-stacking design takes up less space(Cons)-cubes are larger than some of my glasses(My circular molds from Tovolo have begun to crack after a year of use. Hope this isn't the case with the square ones)

Looks cool, works great
I got these for my husband. He had seen giant ice cubes at a bar or restaurant and thought they'd be cool to use in drinks at home. The product is really nice quality and it's straightforward on how to use it. The cubes were a little snug going into our glasses, but once you pour your drink over the cube it was fine. I thinking running the cube very briefly under cool water would also do the trick. I looked at the Tovolo 2 inch version (the 6 cube tray) in person at a store, and that confirmed that I wanted this "colassal" version. The 2 inch ones didn't have the right "giant cube in a whiskey" look we were after. The cube really lasts a long time. This is going to be my new go-to host/hostess gift when going to parties.

Big, but great
These things are awesome. The massive shaped ice cubes stay longer than a bunch of smaller ones, keeping your drink colder longer while still using the same amount of water. Unfortunately, finding that sweet spot in filling between under and over flow of ice is hard as the line on the maker causes overflow. Also, while I know size is the point, these take up a LOT of freezer room, and must be on a flat surface, so if you full your freezer up a lot it may be hard to use these very often. Really easy to clean though, and totally worth it if you have the space!

Awesome concept!
I really loved the square ice cubes. I purchased these for a huge crystal beverage container with spout and little ice cubes wouldn’t do the trick. The containers appear to made well and have held up well. They are big enough for putting water and I also added frozen cranberries, lemon and lime slice for visual appearance in the beverage container. Cool, functional design with practically. My daughter had the round shape and I used her too. Great product!

Fun (though very large) Ice Cube Molds
These are pretty much what you would expect: a fun, novel ice cube mold. I gave Tovolo's Spherical Ice Cube Molds a 5-star rating, but decided to give these a 3-star review for three reasons:1) They are extremely large. Too large, in fact, to fit in any of my glassware. And, I don't have especially narrow glassware. Since buying these, I've mentioned this problem to a few other people I know who have the same product, and they all mentioned having the same frustration. This is all anecdotal, but it seems like it's a pretty common problem. They do fit into some wider plastic cups that I have, but if you're looking for novelty ice cubes, you're probably not intending to use them in plastic cups.2) The mold itself is very bulky. These just take up a lot of room in my freezer. I don't have the largest freezer, so this might be less of a concern for some. Just be prepared to devote a significant amount of room to these. Somehow Tovolo's spherical molds seem much more space-efficient than these. The mold-to-cube size ratio is seems much larger for these square molds than for the spherical molds.3) They don't freeze as well as the spherical molds. I can't understand why, but it's much harder to get a perfectly-formed square out of these than it is to get a perfectly-formed sphere out of Tovolo's spherical molds. These tend to come out of the mold with at least one corner having a much rougher, sometimes elevated, "freezer burned" look to them. I've tried experimenting with the amount of water used, the temperature of the water being used, and the orientation of the mold in the freezer. Nothing seems to make a significant difference. My spherical molds almost always produce near-perfect results. Not sure why these seems to have a harder time. I think it has something to do with the way the plug fits into the mold. These are probably very small issues for most, and in all, they don't take that much away from the product. It's still a fun novelty item that I enjoy using on occasion. If I ever buy some wider-mouthed glassware, I expect that I will use these much more often.

Pretty big, but good for more than one drink.
As other reviewers have said, these make good - albeit huge - ice cubes. As I'm sure you know since you're looking for these, smaller ice cubes melt faster and water down your cocktail. The cubes these make are big and last for two+ rounds. Filling the mold and getting it set it pretty easy if you follow the directions (and is pretty ingenious). One caveat: I couldn't get the cubes to fit into most of my tumblers; you need an extra wide glass for these to fit. If you only have a standard rocks glass, I suggest the spherical ice "cube" molds made by the same company. They have a smaller diameter than these.
