Too hot to touch after only a few minutes
I bought this having seen the other reviews and decided to test it first. I connected it to a 12v battery and was pleasantly surprised by the very distinctive click as the valve opened. I checked the amps being drawn as being 1.1 - so slightly higher than the advertised wattage at around 13w but acceptable. After only 5 minutes the plastic solenoid and brass valve casing were far too hot to touch - and certainly I would worry about the fuel running through the valve. I returned the valve the same day.

Quality Product - Just note - is not ideal for diesel systems
This is a very sensibly priced high quality bit of kit, I have no complaints on that score. However, I should point out that it is NOT ideal for diesel systems for the following two reasons:1. the pipe sizing differs - I had to clamp down diesel lines very firmly with jubilee clips to make up the difference - although it did work with no leaks.2. More importantly, the internal sizing of the solenoid effects the flow rate of diesel passing through it, effectively restricting the flow. In my case, this meant that my diesel engine (Yanmar L100) runs at a lower RPM, which isn't to bad in some situations, but in my case it powers a generator so experienced a corresponding drop in voltage, which is far from ideal.-- so bottom line is it works with diesel but not an ideal solution, most likely would require some careful adjustment to the diesel equipment, depending on what it is.-- given the lack of alternatives at this price though, it's still a great product.

DANGEROUS, VERY DANGEROUS!!!!
DANGEROUS!!!!! As you can see from the photo, this thing was getting so hot it almost melted. With LPG going through it. Only found out because my leisure battery was going flat so quickly. Absolutely not fit for purpose and could easily cause an explosion/fire. LETHAL!
