ADORE!
These things are amazing! I had a pair of shoes I purchased and when I wore them for the first time, they rubbed me raw to the point of drawing blood. I recalled seeing a product similar to this at some point in the past but couldn't recall where exactly. Needless to say, my next step was to scour the internet and then Amazon. My needs are unique so that made my search a bit tricky. I have a narrow achilles heel despite my size 10 shoe size. I needed something that would not chaff/rub as I walked and not too much bulk as the problem is not because I bought shoes that were too big. When they arrived, I immediately installed them. You need to align the top lip of the shoe to the top of the Pedag Heel Grip. Practice this first before you remove plastic backing to adhere. What I did and what I recommend is to remove a center portion of the plastic backing and adhere the lip of the ship with the top of the Pedag, press firmly once aligned starting at the top and down the center of the heel of the shoe. Remove each section of the remaining plastic backing and adhere individually on each side, not both at the same time, meeting the top lip of the shoe to the top of the Pedag. Smooth Pedag starting at the top and working your way down until well adhered. Then, do the remaining side of the same shoe. Once all is aligned, do a final press to make sure the Pedag is stuck for good. Put on your shoes with care during the first use of the Pedags. Walk around a bit. You should find instant relief and this will make sure the Pedags stay stuck.I found instant relief as well as an instant solution to my overall problem. I have since worn my shoes out several times and have felt nothing but the utmost comfort and I dare say luxury as a result. The feel of the suede is superb! Plus, I can wear the shoes and didn't have to give them away to some poor unsuspecting recipient. I love the shoes even more now!CAUTION: The adhesive on the Pedag is commercial grade. It will stay stuck no matter what! One of the reasons I gave detailed instructions. Plus, misplacement of the Pedag on the shoe will render the product useless.

Nice!
These worked perfectly to help a slightly big pair of shoes fit. I purchased a pair of shoes that seemed to fit in the store, but I must have been having a fat foot day because the next time I wore them my heal was sliding all around. These provided the right amount of grip to keep the shoe firmly in place. The only negative is that they had to be right at the top edge of the heel to fit properly, and the light grey stands out against the black shoe. It was easily fixed with a sharpie, but some other color options would be nice.

Both are excellent for their intended use
First, thanks everyone for all the other reviews. Doubt I'll say anything new, but will summarize my experience.I bought ProFoot and Pedag snugs. These two are quite different. Both are excellent for their intended use. These are good when the shoe is not too long, just loose in the heel. They take up the looseness in the heel but do not shorten the footbed. At first I thought they did, but after an hour they had conformed to my heel and took up less of the length of the shoe. I really like the feel of the suede. Don't think it would rub a blister, but don't know for sure. The surface is very soft to the touch.Follow others' application instructions:1) don't stick on until you're sure they work. I put them inside footies and walked around the house.2) use a box blade or something to carefully cut a strip from the middle of the backing. Just score the paper. Don't cut the pad.3) peel off the paper in the middle. Fold pad in half and stick onto back of shoe. For most people it shoul line up just below the top edge of the shoe.4) peel off backing on one side. Beginning at the middle, carefully press rhe pad along the curve of the shoe.5) examine. Make sure there aren't gaps between pad and shoe. If there are, good luvk repositioning :O6) press down firmly.7) use a shoehorn so you don't waste all this work.I'm super happy to have found these. There's a similar review over on the Profoot product page.

Good, but does not remove cleanly
So the good news is that these pads will stay on very well and for a very long time. They do what they're supposed to, and they do it well. However, if you need to remove these, you'll be in a world of regret. They don't pull off cleanly. The adhesive film they use is not strong enough to withstand the force of removing it from the shoe. So you end up with the inner foam strip still attached to your shoe. And pulling that out - piece by piece and crumb by crumb will take a very, very long time. What's worse is that the film will still be attached to the heel, and that's extremely difficult to take off.I would rather have to replace a heel pad every 6-12 months if it meant that I could take it off cleanly, leaving the shoe undamaged.

My heels were RRRRAAAAAWWWW! Not any more!
So I was buying cheap Wal-mart work boots as they were the only "affordable" boots that actually fit my wide feet! The only drawback is that they don't last very long at all and each new pair I buy seems to be worse quality and not lasting nearly as long.Since I hate shopping at Wal-mart anyway (I can't help but to feel that my IQ drops 30 points just from walking in the door) I decided to buy a more expensive pair of work boots that were tailored for wider feet. They are great! Fit well, very solid, MUCH better quality. The only problem is they rubbed my heels absolutely RAW, so raw I was afraid Chef Ramsay was gonna cuss me out over it!Anyway, looking for solutions yielded these little gems. They made my new boots SOOOOO COMFORTABLE. My only complaint is I'm afraid the adhesive isn't going to hold so I have to use caution putting on and taking off my boots but so far it isn't an issue. I'm so glad I bought these!
