Renewed my vacuum
Suction power noticeably became much stronger once I use this replacement. I never felt this kind of improvement with other replacements I had in the past.

Dust Filer
It fits but a bit of pushing and pulling was required to get the unit to close back up properly as it is a tight fit. However, my great little hand held vac is back in business which is what I wanted.

too big and heavy
its nice to have a hand vac to vacuum furniture and such. i bought this one because it had a rotating brush atachment. i found, though, the brush isn't very powerful. put any presure on the brush and it stops moving. thats why i liked the dirt devil hand vac but they stopped making it. the eureka just does't cut the mustard.

It sucks (in a good way)
It is a bit expensive for what it is. But it is washable and reusable. I wash it with running cold water and gently brush off the dirt and lint with a toothbrush. The vacuum suction is great after it is cleaned.

Easiest and most cost-effective way to restore vacuum performance
I have the Eureka EasyClean Hand-Held Vacuum (71B) vacuum, which I use for light household cleaning. Despite regularly cleaning the filter, build up starts to degrade vacuum performance after I accumulate about 5 hours of usage. Replacing the filter restores the suction strength. The product fits well and is easy to install-- exactly what I expect from a Eureka-branded product. However, be careful about using the filter and vacuum with fine debris, such as chalk dust or drywall dust. I vacuumed drywall dust with the vacuum and found that the small particles clogged up the filter beyond cleaning.Overall, great product and I will buy again when I run out.

It's the right part for the machine
I've got the Eureka 71B. Great handheld vac. Really does a good job getting cat hair off of upholstery and carpeted stairs, and I use it to clean out the cars, too. My teenaged daughter did something with it though, she won't say exactly what, but it seems to have involved cocoa powder, some sort of makeup, and a liquid I suspect is cranberry juice. Whatever it was, it formed a cement-like compound with the added property of stickiness. So after cleaning everything else out, a new filter was in order. This one is the same as the one that came with the vacuum and works just fine. On dry things that aren't sticky.

While it may be an OEM part, the seal is defective and causes an air leak.
