A fun and clever series
The prologue might put you off but don’t stop there. The story moves on quickly and you’ll quickly be immersed in a magical and witty storyline with in depth characters and an engaging tale.

One of the best fantasy series of all time
Endings wrote a beautiful, entertaining, and gripping series where you can relate to any of the characters. There is such a humanistic quality to each character that the bond the reader has with them is as addicting as the story line! I am a fantasy fanatic and I out this in my top 10 series of all time up there with lord of the rings ( which is much heavier), mistborn ( deeper and heavier reading), wheel of time ( much much longer), as well as Raymond feist and terry brooks series.

Outstanding story and characterization.
When this series first finished, David did a book tour. I talked with him for about an hour and half in the small West Sound town of Bremerton, WA. He would be disgruntled by the color choices on this edition's covers. The editing here is a little tighter than Lester's edit, making the read a little faster.Jim Haney

Book quality sub-par
They appear as if used when they are suppose to be new. The books edges are worn . Not sure if it was just due to poor packaging . They arrived in plastic wrap that had broken open and were in a bag versus boxes.Considering I paid price of new I’m annoyed.
