Mueller XLP Ankle Brace, Black, Small, Women's 8 - 10, Men's 7-9

For those wondering what happened to Mueller's "Soccer Ankle Brace" and what the difference is I called Mueller directly. The Soccer Ankle Brace had metal in it for reinforcement, these now have some hard plastic of some sort. That was for airport issues. Second, the original brace had an actual tongue. This one just has a thin material that connects the two sides, making a tad less bulky. Last, they changed the name because people got hung up thinking the other was just for soccer.For anyone wondering the difference in this and the ATF2, the ATF2 is really difficult to wear in a shoe. This one is about an inch shorter down the foot and it makes all the difference in the world. Also, the support strip on the ATF2 turns back towards the heel, while this one turns toward the toe. That gives the ATF2 a little more support against an inversion sprain and is why Mueller doesn't advertise that as a benefit for this one.Now - for the brace itself - my daughter loves it. She wears a size 8 women's shoe, and the small fit her just fine. It's a bear to get the thing laced up, but it's comfortable when she plays (soccer) with it. With the ATF2, she said it was too restrictive and made her feel too mechanical. And she has no issue wearing her shin guards either as it doesn't go as far up on the calf as you might think

Bought these for my daughter because she sprained her ankle, and she needed additional support. These were perfect. Very supportive and comfortable, she doesn't play soccer without them.

I bought this size based on the info posted but it's a little small. That said, it gives some support - it is hard for me to get into/out of.

This ankle brace feels great on and really seems to work well - HOWEVER - it is sized wrong. I wear an 8 1/2 sneaker and bought a small because the small size says 8-10 size shoe. I can barely get the brace on! Once I get it on, I worry that I may not be able to get it off again - it is THAT hard to slip over my foot! My ankle is sore and trying to get this small size over it and off it really hurts. I wish they would have been more careful when they sized it.

I sprained my ankle a few years back and although it healed, the stability has never been the same. I play soccer on a weekly basis and have tried various sleeves and tapings to keep it stable. i finally sprung for a McDavid lace up brace. its a good sturdy brace, but very bulky. I use 2 pairs of boots, Adidas Copa Mundial and Nike Tiempo turf. The McDavid brace was so bulky that i couldnt even lace up the Tiempos. This brace provides good support above the ankle and is slim enough to let the shoe do the rest. ive worn it all day with minimal discomfort and it doesnt fully restrict mobility in a good way. highly recommended for soccer!

This product does not meet my needs at all. It is extremely hard to get on and off. I actually strained my ankle trying to remove it! I cannot recommend and I will be looking into other products that offer some support but use wrapping or compression instead.

I have short stocky legs. I've had the other brace that's similar to this but goes higher on the calf and it dug into my legs and hurt. This brace is shorter and works really good to support my ankle while I work out.

Is a great product for a great price.I was In a cast for 4 months and has helped me making that transition from A orthopedic Shoe to my regular tennis.

Bought for my daughter as recommended by her physio. After initial ‘wearing in’ for 2 training sessions they are brilliant. She wears cotton socks underneath either thin or thicker depending on the weather/ type of training. They are difficult to put on at first but it gets easier and you get used to it. I’m glad I read the reviews it really helped to set expectations to persevere for a few training sessions. Now she wouldn’t be without them. She does lots of sprint training, agility, running etc. They are extremely supportive but yet flexible. Works for us. Well worth the spend.

Sehr zu empfehlen für Übergang nach Knöchel-Verletzung beim Tennis. Passt gut in den vorhandenen Tennis-Schuh, allerdings ist die Abnutzung des Schuhs am Seitenfutter auch höher. Sollte nicht dauerhaft getragen werden, sondern nur zum Wieder-Einsteigen nach Verletzung. Gute Ergänzung ist ein Balance-Brett zur Stabilisierung des Fußgelenks

Es passt wirklich super und man spürt es kaum.Lediglich das an und ausziehen ist etwas mühselig.Doch man macht es gerne da es excellent wirkt.
