Risk: Lord of the Rings Trilogy Edition

My spouse loves LOTR and board games but had no idea this existed. My family had a copy when it originally came out, so I got him this as a Christmas gift because I knew he'd enjoy it and I could bask in the nostalgia of my childhood. Everything was still in its original, untouched packaging, just how I remembered it, and he was psyched to get to play it together. It took weeks for him to commit to opening it because he was so overjoyed it was still new in box. Best christmas gift I've ever gotten him I think.

Before I proceed into the review I would like to mention that buying this game was a lifelong dream since the moment I first gazed my eyes upon it back in 2015. Since then I dreamt and as I got older I searched for the perfect time to buy this board game. Today this dream was fulfilled.As you can see in the pictures the map was in perfect condition, and so are the ring, cards and armies. Wears and tears can be found at the bottom side of the box and at the exterior of the rulebook but overall the game definitely looks that it has been kept in safe hands before and after the transportation.As you can see in the photo that includes the items, a list can be found, in which includes all the items that were found in the game. I will try to keep it short and say that, the One ring, the armies and almost all of the cards are all in there.The only small issue is that out of all the 166 cards, 3 are missing. Fortunately all of them belong to the adventure card deck, which won't be a huge issue. Territory and wild cards are all in there.Before I conclude I would also like to mention the lack of extra fees and the incredibly fast delivery by DHL and my local shipping company. I cannot thank you enough as my enthusiasm of getting my hands on this game exceeded my patience.In conclusion this might be the best purchase I've ever made online. Top notch price considering the rarity of this item and the total condition and also the transfer fees. I will always be grateful and thank you BLG Enterprises.

We've played Risk before, but my children decided that they wanted to play the LOTR edition. I was a bit hesitant, since this is for collectors. But the supplier came through with a nice game, still in its wrappings, and all of the pieces were there. The kids have been playing it with their friends at least a couple of nights per week since Christmas--and dad even got to sit in on a game. So we've really enjoyed it! It's tougher than normal Risk, I think, with rules that are a bit more complex, but you can learn them quickly. My son took me to school on it!

Usually I don't like playing strategy games with my husband, but with this version of Risk I can at least feel like I have some idea of what's going on! The pieces are fun to use and the storyline appeals to me more than traditional versions of Risk which deal with world domination as opposed to winning before the Ring reaches Mount Doom. Even strategy games can be fun with such a likeable theme.

Packaged exactly as described. Based on the condition you wouldn’t know this game was used. It’s obvious the seller takes great pride in their work. Thanks!

This version of Risk is epic!If you play by the world domination rules (this game has special LOTR rules) this game can go on for a LOOOOOONG time. Be prepared to spend much more time with this version.The special LOTR rules are interesting and add a bit of variety to the way you can play this, but then it's too short (or has some unfair "auto-win" conditions)For a nice length game, play teams (good vs evil)WARNING: Only contains enough pieces for four players! Have other Risk games to add players!

I was so disappointed when I recieved this boardgame. When I opened it I noticed it was covered in black hair. I'm assuming it's dog hair. It was all over the board, the cards, the pieces, and even in between the instructions manual. Disgusting! I immediately took it outside to clean it with Clorox Wipies. I considered throwing it in the trash my kids convinced me to try and clean it first. It took me thirty minutes to wipe EVERYTHING down! Once I did, I realized from the dirty wipes that it was also filthy. I will attach the picture of all the wipes. I honestly cannot believe someone would sell something in this condition. I would highly suggest you do not buy from Datel Electronics.

I did not receive the trilogy edition of the game, which means that Gondor and Mordor aren’t on the game board. Still playable, and pieces were in decent condition. Box was also a bit banged up but I don’t mind that. My biggest issue was that it is not actually the trilogy edition
