They turn to sliver fairly quickly while in your hair. If you wash it I think it would definitely turn colors.

Dreamlock beads is made of high-quality aluminum alloy. Good ductility. Usually used to decorate hair. It is rarely used to stretch hair. But you can try it.

Q: Will these fit jumbo style braids?

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "jumbo" but you can open them. They are thin so once you open them and close them more than once they start to split. I wouldn't buy them again because I don't think you get much wear out of them. However, they are pretty the one or two times you get to ware them.
