Good product very effective and very prompt delivery

That’s right it actually kills hornets, as well as everything that’s smaller. When it does visit death on anything it goes off like a starting pistol.Hornets started nest building in one of our sheds a few days ago, spraying them was too dangerous, so this insecticutor was installed and left on for four days. 2 hornets died and now no sign of any further activity.Works well in the house(we have cattle and sheep close by, so lots of flies) but it is very loud and most bodies end up on the other side of the kitchen. Best of these I have used so far. Most of the lower wattage versions work well enough, but they tend to incinerate flies, where this one blows them up.

I have updated my review, but left earlier comments.Now I would say, great unit, one of the better solutions and avoids the expense, smell and hazards of using insect sprays. Now I am used to the issues I highly recommend, just look below to save hassle when getting to know your unit.This a great little unit, plug in and ready to go. However, the unit makes a loud electric spark with a bang as an insect flies in, and this makes me jump everytime if I'm near.Even though I have a small kitchen, flies can buzz around the room for ages before going near the unit.Also, it hardly seems to kill outright, usually stunning flies. They recover after about 5 minutes, then find themselves incapacitated without the use of one wing. They then buzz around, fanning other dead insects out, or climb out. Some are killed immediately, but they are immediately incinerated, goodness knows where the body parts go as they disappear, although you may find an incinerated fly head on your kitchen surface. The insect collector is not sufficient on it's own. Needs to stand inside another container that is at least 10 cm wider around all sides, and with a 3 cm lip.Do not leave food below the unit or it could result in frazzled fly parts as an unwanted ingredient.I am still using so need to give it more time.

After reading hundreds of reviews I decided to buy this to attract GNATS. I read in each review that it was so loud like a shot gun, it startled the pets and everyone still jumped. I could see no visable flys however, noticed slight movement when watering. I, would rather not have house plants 🪴. I use, every method to eliminate neem oil, hydrogen peroxide etc!This, item is not ugly it’s not to big and the wire could be longer but it’s not a major issue easily fixed.It’s, a beautiful blue night light too!!!!AND WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR IT DID ITS JOBWELL WORTH THE MONEY CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT IT IS LIKE WITH LARGE FLYS IN THE WARMER MONTHS.I WILL SEE HOW THIS GOES AND IF IT STILL WORKS WILL BUY ANOTHER FOR THE KITCHEN DOOR AREA!BY THE WAY THE NOISE IS NOT LOUD , DOES NOT SOUND LIKE A SHOT GUN I WAS SHOCKED HOW QUIET IT WAS AFTER READING HOW LOUD IT WAS!!!!!!!!NOT MANY REVIEWS FOR IT ON THE USE OF GNATS SO I HAVE LEFT THIS FOR ANYONE DESPERATELY WANTING HELP WITH THEM OR HATES THEM AS MUCH AS I DO!

The product worked very well obliterating insects as desired, but, when it came to the end of life for one of the bulbs, the entire board burned out with the bulb.This has rendered the device inoperable and customer service took a week to respond with an offer of 20% discount on a new device.They are unable to provide details of spare parts anywhere in europe, and unwilling to share the detail of the damaged components to affect a repair myself.As soon as a bulb shows signs of ageing then change both bulbs and then the device might last longer.

I have a very bad fly infection during the summer mostly and I needed a massive help so I decided on this product. It is costly and quite big although others review for smaller ones was saying it doesn't kill the flies.I live on the 4th floor flat and always seems to get flies. I've had enough. After suffering from choking sprays and dead flies everywhere, I needed a better solution.The pictures you see are from when I came home on the 1st day I received it. I got it delivered after 14:30 & came home around 22:30. As you can see, it is full of dead flies!So this is what I say about the product -*The tray does easily come out to clean and is easily cleaned.*I would recommend when you do hang it to not hang it over and area where you can't clean up. I wanted to put it high above a sofa chair that's near my balcony door. And as you can see, the flies didn't all stay in the tray. So I wouldn't want dead flies all over my cofa chair where I want to sit.*The product doesn't get hot to touch around the edges. Honestly, I had it on for hours and I was still able to touch and pick it up to put it somewhere else without having to wait till it cools. Although I would still say, double check the edges of your product just in case. I'm writing this review on the same day I got it.*It's leaves a glow in your room and feels like it heats up your room too lol*Oh, it kills all kinds of flies. I feel like a murderer and this thing will remind you that your a murderer because of the loud bang and white/red spark. Omg, everyone did say it has a loud bang but I didn't realise how loud it is. I'm deaf with 2 hearing aids and it makes me jump whenever I'm in the room with it. And that's when I know I've murdered a fiy.*My poor cat is scared off unfamiliar loud noises so be aware of pets that do have a problem with that. Hopefully I can help him through it. He doesn't run away and hide, just pops his head up and looks around. We live in an area that is loud anyways. So it will take some getting used too. Oh, it makes no humming sound at all.I do love it. It has helped me with my problem after 1 day of having it. I just need to find a good area in my flat to hang it up and if the flies don't all go in the tray at least it will go on the floor where I can easily hoover it up. That's what I did with the flies on the table and will need to give that a good scrub.Hope the pictures help.
