How did I get anything done without this?
I use this for miniature painting and gluing primarily. I also scoured reviews of inexpensive similar products because I wanted the best for my money and didn't think this would be that much of a game changer. I'm used to stacking things in crazy configurations when gluing model parts together. It didn't even occur to me to use this for glue setting until I had it. Wow! What a difference this makes! And I really believe that this one is probably one of the highest quality ones you can get for the money. It's super configurable and stays upright with no problem. The only complaint is that the arms loosen from the base pretty easily. But they tighten back in easily too, so not really a problem. You can put some loctite on the threads if it drives you crazy. Love this thing!!

Awesome product
I bought this for product photography to hold items and later clone out the holder from the shot. The arms move exactly where you want them. They hold a surprising amount of weight. The product is sturdy and works in a variety of situations. It just made my life a lot easier. I will use it a lot. It was one of those purchases that make me feel like I made a great decision in buying it.

money well spent
Easy and fast to assemble even without instructions, appreciated the screwdriver included. Impressed with how sturdy it is, high quality. Wish the base was a little heavier

Great for working on small microcontrollers and PCBs
I had been using a holder with a magnifying glass and 2 clips on ball joints. This one works a LOT better, having the clips on those flexible goosenecks makes them much easier to position where you need them and there are 4 of them. The goosenecks are nice and stiff so they shouldn't have any trouble holding the weight of most PCBs you would work on like this. The base is plenty big and heavy enough to avoid tipping over while you're working. It's also great the the inside ring of the base rotates, so if you need to get a different angle on something, you can spin it around without having to re-clip anything. With two long and two short goosenecks it's easy to grab a board by all 4 corners, making the grip very stable. Everything is metal so you shouldn't have any problems if you need to use it around heat guns or hot-air rework gear. You do need to assemble it, but that's just screwing the 4 arms onto the base (screwdriver included!) which is very easy. It also lets you choose where the long and short arms go. I setup mine with two long ones in front and two in back. This works good for grabbing a board by it's four corners. It's also possible to remove the non-slip rubber feet if you want to screw this directly to the workbench, but so far the base and feet have made this unnecessary for me.It's a great tool, I think the only thing they could have done to make it better would have been to include a magnifying glass you could fit onto one of the arms. But any tabletop magnifier with a light would work well with this.

Absolutely Lovin' it! Superb manufacture and excellent performance. Smooth as silk!
This Helping Hands Tool is extremely well-designed and and very innovative in function.Assembly is child-simple with the articulating arms attache to the inner rotatable ring. The base is cleary CNC engineered and is virtually perfect and without ANY faults. The positives are many, and this product can be utilized for a plethora of uses...not just as a soldering assistant!✅ The flexible arms are appropriately stiff and will hold a lot of weight in place. Doube or triple that weight when two or more arms are holding a working piece in unison.✅ The alligator clips have robust springs and rubber-tipped ends to resist damaging or scratching what they are holding. The thumb activation of the clips is round, plastic and very ergonomic.✅ The inner "Lazy Susan" rotatable ring is smooth as silk when turning. Once in position a tightening knob on the outer rind can lock the turntable in position...perfectly!✅ Non-slip clear rubber feet assist in holding the stand in place.✅ All the materials use in the manufacture are robust, precise, and are perfectly manipulated as designed.I cannot find a single bug, niggle, annoyance, or fault with this superior help too! It is flawless and a joy to work with. For me, it's an unequivocal FIVE STAR winner and gets my honest and VERY hearty recommendation. Superb product, and at a price that is a great value on Amazon. Awesome!!*If you found my review helpful to you, PLEASE let Amazon know by clicking the "HELPFUL" button below!

Very smooth rotation
I've had lots of helping hand grippers over the years and none have been as nice or stable as this set. It's not perfect but it's certainly better than most. It's still a bit fussy working with springy flex arms but they stay where you want them if you start off right.I originally put the long arms across from each other. I found that I could only use 3 of the grips at any time if I wanted to work on a board at an angle. I mostly solder on home automation stuff and integrate ESP32 controls into home appliances. While the boards aren't big they often have wires or odd attachments. With both long arms on the back side of the circle and the two shorter arms on the front I have been more productive with the holder. I keep the boards angled like a book so I don't have to work straight down. Better all around. The rotation on the base is amazing. It's super precise and very smooth.

The Doc Oc of third hands! Much better than the old school ball joint, two clip version.
Four clips that can be positioned where ever you need them. Two long arms and two short - and the ring they're mounted on rotates. Sheesh - they thought of everything. Some assembly is required - you have to mount the arms, but they even included a Phillips head screwdriver. The device works really well and has enough grip for a small board, several wires, etc.

Works great for soldering.
I only solder occasionally for my 3d printers and so it helps to have this helping hands set. It also works well for splicing wire with those shrink/solder tubes so you don't burn your fingers. The base has a good amount of weight to it so it doesn't fall over too easily. It can also be clamped down if you need it. Has saved me headaches more times that I can count and I highly recommend it.
