A huge amount I put approximately 1.5 tablespoons and it filled a gallon jar and over flowed. It wasn't even a 4th of the package.

Q: I have reordered this product. First time was marble size. This time the size is about 1/3 the size. What's causing it not to grow properly?

Was there adequate water for the beads to absorb. I used 4 to 5 packets, and let them sit overnight in water. They filled a 5 gallon bucket.
