UPDATE 4/2023: I just replaced the #1/2 filter after I was alerted that it was depleted. The system is still going strong and working well. I sort of don't like how much water to tend to waste in cleaning out each basin each week and also when emptying out the tap water tank of the dirty water but on the other hand, it still uses less water than an under sink RO system. The water out of this tastes consistently very good and I tend to add a few drops of sea minerals to each glass to make my own mineral water.While there is not a whole lot different between this wifi model and the non-wifi model, I got this model and don't regret it. The main differences are you can check the actual percentage left for each filter and also the built-in TDS readings for each tank via the app. With the original model, it would just tell you when the filters need replacing and it would be a guessing game how long from now that would be.I do wish the app would tell the actual TDS numbers; currently it just says low medium or high, which is not that useful.I moved from a Berkey and could not be happier. The water tastes a lot better. The Berkey water always tasted a bit like rubber to me. And this also provides purified water much quicker. You can go from an empty tank to a full tank in 10 minutes. And, no fiddling around with having to prime any filters with your faucet, etc.AquaTru is also certified to NSF standards, unlike Berkey.I sometimes just drink the purified water out of the AquaTru but usually I like to remineralize it with deep ocean minerals. I use Whole Earth & Sea, Deep Ocean Minerals for that.The AquaTru filters seem to last a good while (they need replacing at different rates so the app tracker comes in handy for that) and they don't seem overly expensive.Great product overall!

We used this product for a month and it worked great until it didn’t. It just stopped running. We called customer support they were helpful and fixed it for a few hours and it stopped working again the next day. We have been reading the technical support online and the maintenance for this product is a joke. It tells you to run water for 5 minutes and shake to dry the filter for a few minutes if things are not working properly. Then we came to see the line mentioning water in the handle- if you clean the product as they tell you to there will OF COURSE be water in the handle bc nothing is stopping this. You cannot deal with this every day and you can’t disassemble the handle. One of these sensors is triggering and making the filter shut off. On their website it tells you to leave the filter overnight to dry out the handle. Why should we have to wait over night for more water????? Faulty, poor design. We are super disappointed because this was expensive and we had very high hopes from the decent reviews. Do not waste your time and or money.

Pros- Good quality water (tap vs this water plus the taste is good)- You don’t have to bring bottles ($360 annual bottle cost for us)- ⁠refills are cheap ($180 for 2 years of refill)- ⁠it’s not noisy when filteringNeutral Points- It takes around 12.5 mins for filtering 3 liters (takes 1 gallon as input and filters 3 liters from it)- ⁠given our consumption wr have to filter twice a day- ⁠all 3 refills have different life but I don’t you’ll be able to run them out of life because of consumption. For example yellow filter works 600 Gs or 6 months. So doesn’t matter whether you consume 300 Gs in 6 months or full 600 Gs. More people better.- ⁠even if you only use it for 1 year, it’s still cheaper than bottled water.Cons- You have to do a basic clean every week given our tap water quality. Soap + water.- ⁠You have to refill it proactively because if you need instant water you might need to wait good 3/4 mins. (1 liter)- ⁠given our tap water quality, desalination is needed, may be quaterly(I have only done it once so far, it’s working fine for me)- ⁠app is very much okay ish

LOVE LOVE LOVE this countertop water unit. The water is amazingly fresh and crisp. It's easy to use. You have to fill the tank up regularly if you love to drink water but it's so worth it. I love it.

Water tastes great, assuming it does as advertised. Wish this had a larger storage container. We have to fill this many times throughout the day.Don’t buy the wifi version, it’s a waste of money. The app synced initially then lost connection within days and hasn’t been able to connect with the app since. I’ve been trying for months, reached out to customer service and no response. I’ve done everything their website and manual states to reconnect but hasn’t worked. Terrible app, read reviews on here or the Apple App Store.7/18/24 UPDATE: The company reached out after a second email and refunded me the difference paid for the wifi version. They know about the wifi glitch and are working on it but don’t have a timeline for the app fix.

Love this. No regrets. It is pricey but totally worth it. Especially if you are a water snob or have not so great water where you live. I wish I could buy one for everyone In my family. We also give this water to my dog and the plants. They are honestly thriving off of it.

Do not buy this unit or the warranty offered with the unit from Assurion!! The pump stopped moving water after only 2 months and Aqua-Tru said my unit needed to be descaled! After only two months. They claimed that the water in my area registered a 9 on their impurity site, but guess what after checking their website so did most all of the cities in the US including Colorado!?? This unit is shown to filter Coca-Cola, but the water in CT was too much for it?? They refuse to honor my warranty that I paid a substantial amount of money additionally and said it wasn’t covered….thx for nothing.
