Nice aroma and cleans clothes without all the chemicals.

Trying to save a little money and yeah, huge mistake. These beads don't dissolve then you have to pick them off your clothing, the residue from the beads is a waxy substance and you have to take them off. I haven't experienced the smell others have complained about but not dissolving alone is enough to stay away. This is not okay especially when you have to wash at a Laundromat. I would avoid this product at all costs and just get the stuff you know works the way it's supposed to.

I feel so stupid for not realizing it sooner. I had used their lavender detergent in the green bottle for years and loved it. I picked up the new version and didn’t think twice about it. Looking back, it was shortly after that that every time I did my laundry, my clothes always ended up smelling like sour water! It has driven me INSANE! I deep cleaned the washer, I started using oxiclean in every load, scent boosters, you name it. Every time, after putting away my clothes, I’d pull them out and they’d smell like I washed them in the moldiest washer. And all along it was this terrible detergent! I finally came here to see what other people thought of it and feel so validated. I just picked up my old trusty arm & hammer with oxi so we’ll see how long it takes to get that horrendous smell out.

Great product but it’s Costco brand and can be found cheaper at the store or online for $17

I had a contact rash develop and did not know the cause until I looked at the reviews for the new laundry detergent I had recently bought from costco. I cannot believe this product is still allowed to be sold!! I also noticed an odor from my clothes that smelled like rancid mold after using this product just as others have mentioned. If you simply want to have clean fresh clothes and not have to visit the urgent care for a rash from hell, stick to old reliable tide! This is disgusting and shame on you kirkland.

Just like the reviews are saying…your clothes smell fresh at first and then you pull something out of the drawer and they smell like stinky feet or sweaty athletic clothing left in a pile!! Thanks to all of the comments confirming that it is the detergent! I too thought I was cRaZy!! Bad product!!

I purchased this product at Costco because I couldn't find the "environmentally responsible" one that I usually use. I just checked Costco's website to see what the online reviews said. There aren't any and I couldn't add one, so i came here. I've never purchased a detergent that smelled bad. I thought, at first, it was my washing machine, but it's the detergent! Clothes come out smelling like vomit and are unwearable. I'd return it but I'm too lazy.

I actually purchased this At Costco but couldn’t leave a review. This is the worst detergent I’ve ever used. If I left wet clothes in the washer for 10 days and then pulled it out and put it on the floor and left my dog run in the rain then vomit on my clothes and then roll in the vomit it would maybe come close to how bad this detergent made my clothing smell!!
