This compilation is for the EMI era.
This album contains remixes you won't find easily on CD and it's all in one place for the EMI years. Be sure and check out Sheena's post-1987 recordings as well. From R&B, to more Prince collaborations and even a jazz album!

Very nice, BUT............
Having missed out on the previous cd releases with bonus material (i do have all the original albums on record and cd), I was looking forward to this set. Nice to have all the singles in chronological order, along with the various 12" mixes from the time. I would have rather had the odd b-sides take up the last bit of space than the dub mixes though......Hopefully those in command at CherryPop are going to be doing all the albums (well EMI to start with at least) in a similar style to the recent first 3 Kim Wilde (where are the rest???) issues that featured the album along with single versions, demos, b-sides and a dvd containing the video clips and TOTP appearances (the remixes that featured there although some good, are better left off if they're considering the same for ms Easton).'nuff said.

Fab greatest hits collection.
I have been looking forward to this compilation for months and it doesn't disappoint. The packaging is great, wonderful photographs and a message from Sheena herself. It includes all her biggest hits during her EMI years but has plenty of rare and unreleased tracks to tempt the hard-core fan. Well done Cherry Pop records and I understand plans are afoot to release deluxe versions of her EMI albums.

Not exactly "definitive" enough for me anyroadup.
Sat 18Sept2021. Memo to Cherry Red Records (in Chiswick) AND also tha' wee Scottie Lassie ms Sheena Easton, a very simple question: Exactly where are all the wee 7" 45rpm vinyl record 'B' sides on this 3CD box set of Definitive Singles 1980-87 collection.???I was rather expecting to celebrate this long overdue CD release with an extra large bowl of Porridge and an extra large wee dram of Whisky but I shall have to make do with a wee breakfast from McDonalds instead and commiserate my disappointment by listening to all my dreadful vinyl records by The Krankies to cheer me up.Maybe one day soon i'll celebrate if "Frugal-McDougal" from Edinburgh in Scotland takes away the both sets of goal posts from the Wembley Stadium as a trophy as a keepsake in order to raise the spirits of ME plus The Proclaimers; Barbara Dickson; Lulu; Clare Grogan (Altered Images); Charlene Spiteri (Texas) and my Emanuel School GCE 'O' level French Teacher from Glasgow.Overall, definitely NOT "definitive" enough for me right now because of the B sides issue that I have raised for discussion in this report.<End of report>
