A overall good product; it has a strong raw rubber scent when package was first opened but, goes away after a day or so.

When I unpackage this instantly stunk of burnt rubber it stunk up my garage for 2 days, I washed it with soap and water let it hang dry, smells a little better, I installed it on my truck and it smelled up the cab of my truck for days even rubbing off on my hands I threw it away do not waste your money Unless you enjoy the smell of rubber.

I recently bought a classic VW camper which if you don’t know, has a huge steering wheel. Since there is no power steering on the bus, it quite frankly needs it. The other issue with the huge steering wheel, it that it is so thin, nothing like beefy modern steering wheels. Together it’s a not a good combination, large, thin wheels are a bit hard to grab and turn.Being that the bus is 53 years old, not a lot of companies make components that will fit, so it was a bit hard to find anything that would fit. But when I found this I thought I would give it a try, and to my surprise it fit perfectly. It does make the steering wheel a bit thicker and easier to grab, but it’s still quite thin compared to most modern cars. My only complaint is that there was and still is a quite strong rubbery smell coming from it. It has dissipated a bit but if you use it, you will have the smell on your hands for 10 minutes or so before it goes away. Other than that it’s quite a nice cover, and fits the time and look of a 70’s car.

If you can deal with the smell I would recommendIt fits great on my Freightliner Columbia, but the smell won’t go away!!!! It feels good and comfortable but again the smell transfers to your hands. In the morning when I open the door to the truck I’m hit by plastic smell!
