Broke the second time my arm touched it. The arm rest fell off, since it's just hard plastic housing (that snapped with only a little bit of pressure as i was getting in the car) sitting on 2 hollow pipes, one of which went straight into the underside of my forearm. God knows what would have happened had I been involved in a crash.

I used to love cars that had armrests attached to the seat Sadly, very few new cars have this. Manufacturers call the centre console an arm rest, but for the vertically challenged like me, who drive with the seat at its highest position, the centre console is way too low to use as an armrest. I am disabled, and have a weakness on my left side, so when driving, I tend to slump sideways the longer the journey gets. I ordered this, unsure whether it would work for me, but thought it was worth a try.I positioned it just in front of the seatbelt connector, adjusted the height to where I wanted my elbow to sit, and drove away. Honestly I have never been more comfortable driving my car. My left arm usually spends longer journeys sitting on my lap or on the gearstick for support, but using this armrest, I could actually drive like a normal person, 2 hands on the wheel!The only downside is that it takes me a couple of extra seconds to fasten my seatbelt while I navigate it past the uprights of the armrest, but that's a small price to pay for the comfort and safety this armrest provides

I got this as I have a shoulder problem that means I need an armrest. It slots down the side of the drivers seat and is adjustable for height. It does what I need it to. It does kind of get in the way of the seat belt and hand brake, but not enough to be a nuisance. Once on the road, the benefit significantly outweighs the minor inconvenience.
