Great value
These are cheap thermocouples. Great value for money. Found that they are about 3-5 degrees colder than other probes I have, and read 27 degrees in ice water. Easy fix for microcontroller based projects.

Cheap, But What I Expected
10 Pack Of Thermocouples Are Ok Item At Best. Per Packaging, Only Good Up To 400 Degrees Farenheight NOT 400 Degrees Celsius Per The Add. At Least 1 Out Of The 10 Had A Broken Junction. Not Stated, But Per Calipers Measure 29 Gauge Wire, With Teflon Jacket.Individual Wires Are Red And White.. That Is The USA Color Code For A Type J Thermocouple, But Internationally, Some Countries use This Color Code. Simple Boiling Pot Of Water Showed Close To 212Deg F. Yellow Connectors Are Pretty Good, But With Sloppy Termination Around The Screws.

These work just fine BUT...
Bought these for a project, and they work fine - seem to be exactly what they claim to be, performance-wise.HOWEVER - be really aware that they are absolutely *not* built using a standard K type thermocouple color code.If you use the yellow connectors and go by the polarity markings molded in them, you're golden. But if your application requires a direct connection to a meter or PLC... yeah no, go by which wire is connected to which terminal on the yellow plug to save yourself a ton of grief...

Expect to find some do NOT work & here is why.....
After purchasing the set of quantity 20 K Thermocouples, I found the root cause of intermittent meter display using the Low Ohm setting if using manual DMM. Ohms is typically 14-15 at room temp.1. Most common cause I found, was 7 out of the 20 had a stripped screw inside the plug (have to remove the 3 case screws). 6 out of the 7 were the positive (+) screw post would not tighten. 1 was on the Negative terminal post.2. 2 of them had terminal screw(s) not tighten.I took all 20 units apart as I was shortening the leads on some of them. Be sure to have a small magnetic screwdriver for reassembly...You will need one! Note: The top 3 Case screws do not have to be removed from the Yellow 1/2 case....just backed out a ways to remove.

melted at 218 C (425 F), unusable
Misrepresentation of product. I was using these probes to monitor the temperature within our household oven. I don't know what they are using for now for the cheaper sheathing, but it melted at somewhere below or at 218 C (425 F). Total waste of money.

Cheap and effective
Used for testing exotherm on resin samples. So, they can only be used once as the resin is very strong once cured. They are accuarate and priced to where I don’t care about consuming them.
